WELCOME TO 18U GOLD!
Welcome to our site. We are an ASA sanctioned 18U GOLD team that will play the highest level of competition available. We have a 7 tournament summer schedule that will take our Michigan-based squad to Missouri, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Colorado and Oklahoma. In addition to two Gold Qualifiers, we will be playing in the prestigious Louisville Slugger Independence Day tournament in Boulder, Colorado along with some high-profile exposure/showcase tournaments as we prepare for the ASA Gold Nationals in Oklahoma City.

Tonya Calkins Chooses Grand Valley State
North Branch High School Junior Tonya Calkins has verbally committed to Grand Valley State University. The First Team All-Conference selection in the Tri-Valley Conference hit at a .494 clip and garnered all-state honorable mention. The entire FINESSE Family sends its congratultions to Tonya and her family!

Eastern Michigan Nabs Kayla Kostich
Kayla Kostich has verbally committed to Eastern Michigan University. The Junior from Allen Park Cabrini High School helped the Monarchs to their fourth consecutive Catholic League title. Congratulations to Kayla and to her parents Bill and Tina on the commitment to the Eagles.

Central Michigan University has received a verbal commitment from FINESSE's Alia Brodie. The Monroe High School Senior is a leader on the Trojan softball squad that advanced to the Division I State Semi-finals this season.

Erin Rodes Chooses Alma!
Finesse congratulates Erin Rodes who has verbally committed to attend Alma College and play softball for the Scots. The proud parents of the Plymouth High School senior, Joe and Lisa, are likely already mapping out the trek up US127 to Scots Park in Alma.

JORDAN WHEATLEY TO BE A NITTANY LION!
Congratulations to Finesse 18U GOLD hurler Jordan Wheatley who has accepted a softball offer from Penn State University. Before the Troy High School Junior arrives in Happy Valley she can now concentrate on academics and trying to help the Colts get to Battle Creek for a crack at States (not to mention working with her Finesse teammates to get to Oklahoma City for GOLD Nationals!)

Northwood The Choice For Sondra Plante!
Yet another Finesse Gold player has committed as Sondra Plante has signed a letter of intent to attend Northwood University. Sondra will join the Timberwolves after her June graduation from St. Frances Cabrini High School. Sondra will be joined in the GLIAC by Finesse Gold teammates Makelle Barski (Wayne State) and Katie Martin (Grand Valley). Way to go #23.

Makelle (Mac) Barski is already a warrior, but she will become one officially after her June graduation from Trenton HS since she has now verbally committed to attend and play softball for Wayne State University in Detroit!

Congratulations to Finesse 18U Gold's Jaclyn Crummey who has made a verbal commitment to become a University of Michigan Wolverine. The Senior from Macomb who attends Dakota High School will matriculate in Ann Arbor in the fall of 2009.

Katy Blaharski Commits to Eastern Michigan!
Congratulations to our Katy Blaharski on signing a national letter of intent to become an Eastern Michigan Softball Eagle. The 2009 graduate of Carleton Airport High School had the opportunity to enjoy EMU Varsity Field this past weekend at the team camp and she apparently figured four years of playing there and attending that fine university would be a good thing.
