Congratulations to Falcons for Team Tournament Victories

What a Year!  We’ve never had as many trophies as we earned the past year!  The Falcons won the first place team trophy at the Lincoln-Way Central Tournament.  This was followed the next week with a second place team trophy at the Oak Forest Tournament that had well over 700 wrestlers. 

On February 22, we also took home the 2nd place team trophy from the Pontiac Tournament, in spite of not having available a number of our quality starters and just missing (2 pts.) 1st place.   Congratulations are also in order for the Falcons Intermediate Dual Team 6th place state finish.  The Falcons earned another big team trophy and individual medals were provided to each team member, consisting of Cameron Lopez, Jacob Safarik, Trevor Schmidt, Cody Ralston, Tyler Mahy, Jack Chasteen, Jack Mankiewicz, Matt Breitbarth, Dylan Conway, Hunter Lang, Brendan Sullivan, Brock Marshall, Luke Soltis, Cole Cunningham and Shane Kenny.   Earning all-tournament honors and individual trophies for being undefeated were Cody Ralston, Trevor Schmidt and Cameron Lopez.  Jack Chasteen was selected as team OW (Outstanding Wrestler) for only losing 1 match and having 2 pins --while wrestling up nearly 2 weight classes.

Then at the Regional, we just missed sweeping all three divisions that team points were tallied on.  As it turned out we took 1^st place in Senior Division, 1^st place in Intermediate Division and 2^nd place in Novice Division.
