The Freedom Optimist Softball League is affiliated with the Freedom Area Recreation Council in cooperation with the Carroll County Department of Recreation and Parks.

We offer softball for girls Grade K-12, Women's(ages 16 and up) Slow Pitch League and Coed Leagues for adults in both fast and slow pitch leagues.

Registration is right around the corner. Dates for Rec Girls Slow PitchGrades K-12), Adult Coed Slow Pitch, Adult Coed Fast Pitch and NEW THIS YEAR Adult Women's (Ages 16 and above) Slow Pitch are:
January 3rd, 10th and 17th - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM - Freedom Community Center - Downstairs (next to Pizza Hut). Come early and miss the crowds.
Freedom Firebirds (Girls Fast Pitch) players already on a team will register with their coaches - if you are interested in playing fast pitch and are not already on a team we have some opennings just email us at fdosoftball@gmail.com.
Registration Costs
Slow Pitch (Grades 1-12) : $60.00
Kindergarten Division(Grades Pre K & K) : $45.00
Additional Child Slow Pitch (Grade 1-12) : $50.00
Fees for Adult Programs not yet determined – cost based on participation
Girls Fast Pitch : All fees are collected with teams

Just a Friendly Reminder
No Pets or Smoking allowed on school property. Thanks! For Recreation & Parks Policy Statement on smoking please click here. Also please remember there is no parking on the sidewalk next to Fields 1 & 2. You can be ticketed for this and we could lose use of the fields. Thanks for your help on these matters.
NO VEHICLES ALLOWED ON ANY FIELDS FOR ANY REASON!!!
