University of Southern California (USC)

It is an exciting time to be a member of the University of Southern California Trojan hockey team. In the past 9 seasons we have had 2 undefeated seasons, 6 PAC 8 Championships, and defeated UCLA 7 times for the Crosstown Cup.

The 2005-2006 season had the largest recruiting class in our 81 year history. We had players from, CT, MA, MI, MN, NH, NJ, PA and Canada. I am sure you have players academically strong enough to be admitted to the school.

USC has been a pioneer in collegiate hockey on the West coast since 1925 when the first Trojan hockey team was formed... With decades of success the Trojan hockey team experienced a rebirth in 1994. Mark Wilbur was named Head Coach of the Trojan hockey team. Mark, a diehard Trojan, has earned two degrees from USC. He grew up in Minnesota and played in the USHL before coming to play at USC. Mark is currently an Associate Dean at the USC Marshall School of Business. Mark has ensured that the program continues to grow without losing academic focus, earning a record of 249-118 over all and 47-17 over cross town rival UCLA.

Any full-time undergraduate or graduate student of USC is eligible to play for USC’s team. As a member of the ACHA and PAC 8 our play has included travel to San Francisco, San Jose, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, Salt lake City, Boulder, Detroit, New York, Washington, D.C. and Indianapolis. We also travel abroad semi-annually and have visited Iceland, China, Italy and France. A trip to Japan is scheduled for this fall.

If you have players who are academically strong, and want to continue to play competitive hockey after graduation from your school, I suggest they consider the University of Southern California. Our web page is www.uscicehockey.com
