Foster City 14's Win Regional Tournament and move on to the West Zone
Game 7-Championship Game

In a very exciting game from the start, the FC All-Stars fought there way back from a 4-1 defecit and defeated Campbell 5-4 in the Championship Game.

The score was tied 1-1 going into the fifth inning as Pierce Precht pitched 4+ strong innings when Campbell scored three runs to make it 4-1. The score remained that way until the 6th when Corey Jacobs lined a singled to center field with two outs scoring two runs to make the score 4-3. After Jacobs moved all the way to third on a wild pitch and passed ball, Kevin Nielson lined a ball which the second baseman couldn't handle which tied the score at four.

With Tyler Hardeman pitching in relief he retired the Campbell All-Stars in the seventh which kept the score at four. With FC batting in the seventh, Mitch Labbie lined a single to center to start the inning and ultimately got to third with two outs. Campbell then intentionally walked Maffei and Hardeman which brought up one of the hitting stars of the game Corey Jacobs. Jacobs hit the second pitch to deep left field and just when you thought we were going to extra innings, the ball bounced off the glove allowing the winning and championship run to score.

Congratulations to Manager Keith Clark, the coaches and the entire 14 year old All-Star team for a fabulous game and very entertaining tournament.

FC now moves on to play on Saturday 8/5 in Fullerton in Southern California. Good luck to the players and coaches.

Game 6

Foster City once again combined very strong pitching and timely hitting and defeated the team in the winners bracket(Campbell) by a score of 5-2. Justin Maffei pitched a complete game and also helped with the offense as he hit a HR and scored a second run. Tyler Hardeman also homered for the FC All-Stars.

On Wednesday, Foster City will once again play Campbell with the winner going to the West Region in Fullerton. Best of luck to the FC All-Stars.

Game 5
In a most win for the All-Stars, Foster City fell behind 5-2 when David Cleaner cleared the bases with a 3 RBI double to help cap the 10-8 comeback over Los Gatos. The boys will now play in the championship round and will need to defeat Campbell(the team they lost to early in the week) twice to be able to move on and play at the West Zone Tournament.

Foster City's next game is at 5:30 on Tuesday and if they were to win that game they would then play the Championship game on Wednesday at 5:30 stay tuned.
