Fossil Creek Little League: Spring 2012 Divisions
For ages 4-6 to teach the fundamentals. Played on a small field. Scores and outs are not counted.
Coach Pitch
For 7 & 8 year olds. Played on a larger field. The coaches are the pitchers. Scores and outs are counted.
Minors
For 9 & 10 year olds. Known as "kid pitch" because it is the first division where the kids pitch the ball and the coaches are not on the field.
Majors
For 11 & 12 year olds. This level becomes more competitive now that players have experience with pitching and catching.
Juniors
For 13 & 14 year olds. This level is even more competitive with the balk, lead-off and pick-off rules being put in effect and base paths and pitcher mound being moved to farther distances.
