The best season in Fort Bend Baptist Academy football history got even better last week when two players were named to TAPPS All-State teams.
Linebacker Christian Lane earned second team honors, and defensive lineman David Thomas is on the honorable mention list.
Lane made 88 tackles this season and had three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and one interception. He also scored seven rushing touchdowns as the starting fullback.
Thomas made 36 tackles and blocked five punts. He also had two fumble recoveries and one interception.
Lane and Thomas also earned All-District first team honors. They were joined by offensive lineman Price Medlin.
Matt Mulcahy, Dylan Nelson, Derek Stephenson, Cody Blackmon and Chase Millis earned All-District second team honors.
Fort Bend Baptist won eight games this season for the first winning season in school history. The Eagles also made the playoffs for the first time.
