The committee would like to thank eveyone who attended, sponsored or donated to our recent sportsman's dinner in Fauldhouse Miners Welfare on Friday 26th of September.

John McKelvie and Bobby Tait where the 2 guest speakers and both had the audience captivated with some superb stories and jokes.

John McKelvie volunteered to do the auction and was awesome and  helped to raise over £2000 selling bits of sporting memorabilia that was kindly donated to the club.

Jimmy Toner who is the last surviving member of the junior cup winning team was a VIP guest at the top table and was given a tremendous reception by everyone.

Harry Lawrie presented the East Region South Division Championship flag to Andy Cunningham and this also went down well with the supporters and sponsors (not had a home game this season to do the presentation at Parkview).

As we had a free Sat the players could also attend and got into the spirit of things by successfully bidding for a signed Rangers top.

Derek Muir (Dancer) bought Fauldhouse United's players player of the year top (Chris Dolan's) that was signed by the full squad who helped clinch the 2007-2008 championship

Brian Donnelly bought Rangers Captain Barry Fergusons signed and framed shirt

Gerry Gallacher bought a Celtic shirt signed by the League winning team of 2007-2008

Kevin McKabe donated and purchased a guided tour of Ibrox and Murrar Park (Superb gesture from the President of our local rivals West Calder).

The Ladies Section of the Miners Welfare provided a superb meal and should be congratulated on their service.

It is fund raising nights like this that keep the football club in existence and i can't thank everyone enough for attending, sponsoring or for helping make Fauldhouse United's Sportsman's Dinner one of the best in the district.

Andy Cunningham has added Frazer Hutcheson to his squad after impressing the gaffer whilst playing as a trialist.

Glenn Weir goalkeeper has signed for Stonehouse Violet.

The committee would like to thank Glenn for his service to Fauldhouse United and wish him all the best at Stonehouse from whom we signed Glenn.

Unfortunate last season with injuries and the superb form of Jon Connolly , Big Glenn was restricted to a limited number of games, but when asked to play he never let anyone down.

 Glenn has joined a Stonehouse team managed by ex Fauldhouse,Scotland and Motherwell player Brian Martin.

Alan Prosser another ex Fauldhouse coach is also at Stonehouse and it should be a home from home for Glenn.

The pitch at Parkview is presently being worked on due to a drainage issue on certain parts of the pitch and will be closed for the next 3-4 weeks.

The coop pharmacy have very kindly agreed to sponsor new tracksuits for Fauldhouse United .

Gary Maley goalkeeper has signed from super league team Bonnyrigg Rose and should be a very good addition to the team.

 Gary has previously played with our ex south division rivals Pumpherston.

Ryan Johnstone and David Connelly have been signed from local rivals Harthill and Michal Caputa who has previously played with Polish side TS Czarrni-Goral has also signed.

Andy Cooper, John Burrows,Paul Wardlaw, Gary Cunningham, Ross McGeachie, Craig Meechan, Kieran Bryce, Ian Smith, Paul Shanks, Ally Graham and Mark McGarty have all signed new deals.

 There are also a few new faces doing pre-season training as there are still a few places available if they impress the management team off Andy,Scott and Alan.

A superb way to finish the season as league champions and doing the league double over Sauchie who we have not beaten at Sauchie for a long time.

Fauldhouse United have clinched the championship with a game still to play.

Congratulations to Andy Cunningham his backroom staff and all the players on securing the title after a very hard season with Harthil and Haddington chasing us all the way to the wire.

It is a credit to the players that they have clinched the championship especially after the club going through a difficult time financially and without the support of the players and the management then the club would not have made it to the end of what has now become a very successfull season.

I would also like to thank all the sponsors and everyone who buys/sells lucky lotto tickets.

On Sat Fauldhouse play Sauchie away (bus leaves from coop 12:00) and on Sat night we have our Player Of The Year Dance in the miners welfare club upstairs lounge.

Tickets are priced at £5 including disco and buffet and can be purchased on the night, please come along and show your support to a wonderfull team of players.

Next season Fauldhouse will compete in the premier league which includes our old scottish Cup opponents Kinnoull and Ballingry Rovers who have ex Fauldhouse United player Brian Roberts.A big step up as far as quality and travelling but i am sure we have the players to compete successfully and everyone knows the Fauldhouse support likes a wee day away.

Ross McGeachie became a dad for the first time when his daughter Rhea was born at 4pm on the 14th of March at Wishaw General.

Congratulations from all at Fauldhouse United to Ross his girlfriend Louise and baby Rhea.

Ross joins a long list of United players who have had daughters and it maybe we have to start a ladies team in the not to distant future. 

The players,management, committee and supporters would like Steven to know we wish him a speedy recovery after having a major operation in the western general hospital in edinburgh.

Steven who is assistant physio to Bill Waugh will hopefully be back on the bench very shortly in what promises to be a very exciting finish to the east region south division league tital race.

Due to Parkview being unplayable the fixture for Sat 8th March has been changed to Millfield Haddington.

The committee of Fauldhouse United would like to offer there apologies to all the supporters and sponsors for the short notice of the tie being changed but it became obvious on Friday that Parkview was not going to be playable for Saturday.

Many thanks to Tom Thornton the Haddington Athletic secretary for the swift response to the request to switch the tie to Haddington and to match referree Kevin Fernie for inspecting Parkview on his way home from work.

Congratulation to Fauldhouse United's longest serving player Andy Cooper on becoming a dad for the first time after his partner Gemma gave birth to Carla (thought they might have called her Foxy !!!!!) in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mother and baby are doing well and should be out of hospital on Monday.

Also need to congratulate Alex and Mary Cooper on becoming grandparents for the first time.

steven sharp has been released from the sick kids hospital in edinburgh and is now at home recovering.

the players,management and committee are all delighted steven is home.

Peter Lynch has kindly donated the money to buy 30 new red sweatshirts for the Fauldhouse United playing/coaching staff.

Ex Fauldhouse United president, committee man and player Eddie Lafferty was honoured by a minutes silence before yesterdays game.

Eddie sadly died last week after battling bravely against poor health over the past few years.

Bobby Elvis McArtney donated the soup and rolls on sausage on Sat for the snack bar and also served it.

Bobby  never watches a game as he is always attending to the paying customers at the snack bar but his contribution at Fauldhouse is much appreciated by all the committee.

Casey Purdie was the team mascot for our game against Dalkeith and was kitted out in Fauldhouse colours.

Casey had pictures taken with Fauldhouse United captain Andy Storrar and with match referee Graeme Leslie.

The pictures will be added to website asap (when tommy brannnan gets them printed)

With her mum, younger brother and grandad all attending Casey had plenty off support.

Francis Carlin has left Fauldhouse United and signed for our East Region rivals Blackburn United.

The committee would like to thank Francis for his service to Fauldhouse United and are really glad he has decided to resume his playing career.

 Francis has joined a growing band off ex Fauldhouse players at Blackburn who now have Peter Lynch, Ryan Docherty and Jordan Rintoul.

Bill Waugh (physio) has decided to quit Faulldhouse United and head back to Broxburn Athletic.

Bill will be sorely (excuse the pun) missed at Parkview as he was well respected by all the players, management and committee.

Fauldhouse United have signed Ian Smith from Stonehouse Violet in a swap deal for Peter Alexiou.

 Ian should give us the extra firepower upfront to put all the good work done by the rest off the team into goals.

If goals comes from workrate then Ian will be top scorer by the end of the season.

Fauldhouse United played a friendly against Kilsyth Rangers on Monday at Dalzell Park and Michael Howley was awarded performance of the match for his impression of bambi.

The all weather pitch was iced over and although most players struggled to keep their balance Michael took it to a new level (Big Al gave him a 5.7 for his 1st half performance).

Kilsyth won the game 4-2 but they must be used to playing at Dalzell as all their players had trainers on and ours wore boots (bad idea).

Andy Storrar and Scott McDonald have signed new deals at Fauldhouse.

Nice to put a bit of good news on the site after last weeks result.

Fauldhouse United held a minutes silence for Dougie Deacon and Winifred Brannan who sadly passed away.

Dougie a lifelong supporter of Fauldhouse came along to the games with his pals Ed Doyle and Willie MclDuff and will be sorely mised at Parkview.

Winnie the wife of  committee man and local celebrity Tommy Brannan also sadly passed away after a long battle with poor health.

 The committee would like to express our deepest sympathy to both families and also to thank all players,officials and supporters of both Fauldhouse and Broxburn who honoured the minutes silence.

Jamie McAllister (striker) and Glenn Weir (goalkeeper) have signed for Fauldhouse and Scott McGeachie has resigned.

Arniston beat Fauldhouse 1-0 to retain the cup with a well taken goal after 80 minutes of a keenlyl contested game.

Mark McGarty had the opportunity to draw the game level with a penalty, but a superb save from the Arniston keeper ensured they retained the trophy.

It is always a pleasure to play Arniston and the hospitality shown to all the Fauldhouse supporters and committee is much appreciated.

Shoogly,Jock and Alan made us all very wellcome and there was no shortage of either food or drink.

John Holburn presented the trophy after a gracious in defeat speech by Peter Lynch ( the referee got the blame for Fauldhouse not winning ha ha) and it is always a pleasure to see and have a chat with Margaret Holburn.

Congratulations to Arniston Rangers and we hope to see and beat them next year at Fauldhouse.
