What a night...On Saturday 9th April Fauldhouse United held a race night which turned out to be very successful,most of the United team and manager Davey Cowan were in attendance,everyone was on form and certainly enjoyed themselves.A great big thank you goes out to six main sponsors who each sponsored a race....notably, BRIAN CONNELL(Newsagent and take out food) JOHN BRANNAN(Butcher) NICE N SPICY(Takeaway) BELLS BAKERS(Shotts) HEATHERFIELD HOME CARE(Livingston) and MARION CALLAGHAN and TOMMY MURPHY(Commercial Inn).Also thanks to Scotmid and everyone who bought a horse and contributed to the raffles etc.

Last but not least it would'nt have been successful if it was'nt for Jim and Joan Martin who supplied all the race night equipment and ran the show from start to finish,giving their time up and not accepting a fee to help boost Fauldhouse Uniteds profits,it was a very generous gesture,they kept the crowd going for each race raising the roof! also keeping everyone entertained with music and banter throughout the night.It also goes without saying thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and turned up on the night.

Sandy has decided to resign as manager at Fauldhouse United with immediate effect.

On behalf of the committee i would like to thank Sandy for his endevours to make Fauldhouse United a more professional club and for his efforts in trying to build a competative team with limited funds.

Chris McLenaghan has been released by Fauldhouse United.

Due to work commitments Chris has been struggling to make training and has dropped out of the team.

After a discussion between the committee and Sandy Ross it was agreed to release Chris to allow him to try and get another team closer to home.

Scott Brunton goal keeper has been released by Fauldhouse United.

Scott has been coaching Iain Stewart recently but Scott feels he can still play and after a discussion with team manager Sandy Ross it was decided to release him to see if he can secure another club.

Not much else to say, yesterday was a total whiteout with every junior game postponed,same fixtures ment for 27th Novenber carried forward to next week December 4th(weather permitting).

David Brown our new signing from Linlithgow Rose made his home league debut on Saturday against Pumpherston and had a good game at right back in our 5-3 win, the three points keep us and Livingston hard on the heels of Sauchie who are scoring goals for fun just now! although the management team at Sauchie are being tipped for the vacant Camelon job and that could upset their run of form if they left.

Table toppers at this early stage in the season in the three East Region Leagues are ... Super League - Linlithgow Rose and Bonnyrigg Rose equal on 22points ..... Premier League - Broxburn Athletic on 25points ... South Division - Sauchie on 23points. 

Central midfielder Chris McLenaghan has asked to be put on the transfer list.

 A tough tackling central midfielder who has been with Fauldhouse for the past 4 seasons Chris would be a good addition to any team in the South/Premier division.

Fauldhouse have signed centre half David Brown from Linlithgow Rose until the end of the season.David has played 10 games for the Rose this season and is highly rated from the management team at Prestonfield.

Our game yesterday was the only South Division game to survive the weather,the crowd was swelled by the appearance of some of the Stoneyburn players and officials whose match at Pumpherston was called off at the last minute.

Cracking home tie for Fauldhouse in the second round of Fife & Lothians Cup, against Premier league side and local rivals Armadale Thistle, to be played on Saturday 18th December.

Saturdays game against Tranent was postponed,after all the efforts from Alan, Matt, Gordon and Frances at 9am forking the pitch referee Scott Jamieson passed it playable at 9.45am, but the rain started an hour later and it never halted resulting in match referee Jim McCunnie calling the game off at 1.20pm.Our apologies go to everyone from Tranent who made the journey .

Only 2 games in our division managed to beat the weather but the results dont affect our position, we still sit in second place 2pts behind Sauchie.

Another week and still no winners on the Fauldhouse Lottery. Prize fund for Saturday 6th November is £1,600. Good Luck!

After yesterdays win against West Calder we now sit in second place 2 points behind Sauchie at the top.

Craig Sewart has signed for Fauldhouse.He previously played with Queen of the South and Motherwell at youth level and more recently Allanton Thistle.Everyone at Fauldhouse wish him well.

Great week for junior clubs in the big Scottish Cup, where Sunnybank,Beith,and Bo'ness United all won and Girvan drawing 2-2.All regions represented and well done all of them!

After the 5-1 defeat at home to Spartans we still sit second in the league, still all to play for and just 2 points behind league leaders Sauchie.

Tommy Brannan made his first appearance yesterday and is looking great after his stint in hospital pity he did not see a Fauldhouse win,hopefully next time. And a kind gesture from the S.J.F.A. Tommy received a pass for all junior football games, and he was very proud to show it off ....and why not.

South Division fixtures for the 16th are     Edinburgh v Sauchie.....Blackburn v Livingston.....Haddington v West Calder........the other team in our division are playing in the Fife & Lothians Cup 1st round which we got a bye.

Remember this weeks game is a change of venue its at PARKVIEW with a 2.30pm k.o, it was switched because of a fixture clash at Ainslee Park .

First round blues again in the cup with another defeat , this time the Scottish Cup , a 3-0 loss at Larkhall.

Change of venue for our game v Spartans on the 16th October will now be played at Parkview.

Fauldhouse United's longest serving and best known committee member Tommy Brannan is now home after 16 weeks in The Western General and St John's Hospital.

Great news for Tommy his family and Fauldhouse United.

 Tommy got home on Thursday to find Thomas,Terence, Teresa,James and the rest of his immediate family had decorated his home from top to bottom, a superb gesture and Tommy has a grin from ear to ear.

 Welcome home Tommy from all the committee,management, players and supporters of Fauldhouse United.

Tommy will not make the game today but hopefully the team can give him a further lift with an away win in our Emirates Scottish Junior Cup 1st round game against Larkhall Thistle.

Brian Donnolly from A.M.S. has generously supplied rain tops for the first team squad , thanks to Brian and A.M.S.

We slipped up on Saturday to a good Sauchie team losing 2-4,we now sit second equal on 12 points with Livingston Juniors 1 point behind the now leaders Sauchie.

Next week 2nd October v Larkhall Thistle in the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup 3pm k.o. at Gasworks Park, a trip for the Holy Grail starts here!

Normal service was resumed on Saturday when it was back to league business with a 6-0 win over Harthill....and still top of the league.

First hat-trick of the season congratulations go to Mark Wilkins who scored 3 goals in the above game.

The first cup final of the season was the Dechmont Fork-lift League Cup and Linlithgow Rose ran out 2-1 winners over Camelon Juniors....congratulations to Linlithgow.

Cathy Wright from the West End Bar in Harthill sponsored Saturdays game and Tom Crawford put up a monetary gift for the Man of the Match award when he chose David Connelly, thanks very much Cathy and Tom..... and well done David.

Sandy Ross has signed young midfielder Martin Bucknell,after some good performances over the last month.Martin has played for Alloa Athletic and turned out for Scotland under 19s.

Peter Lynch......Club President of Fauldhouse United has finally downed tools after???? years working (well thats what he says!) for West Lothian Council,the committee wish him a long and happy retirement, and maybe he will get round to do the odd jobs he's promised over the years!!!   All the best Peter.

The Emirates Scottish Junior Cup draw 1st round has paired Fauldhouse United with Larkhall Thistle,its an away tie at Gasworks park on Saturday 2nd October.

Chris McLennaghan finally put pen to paper this week to sign on for another year.

Former striker Ian Smith has settled in at Albion Rovers scoring a couple of goals in the past few games for them in the Scottish 2nd Division.

Tommy Brannan, Teresa said he is doing fine and improving all the time she said he could be home by the end of the month, lets hope so we all look forward to seeing him out and about again.

After Saturdays win Fauldhouse still sit at the top of the table with 3 wins out of 3 and a 100% record.

Trialist Stuart Smith took a bad knock in Saturdays game against Dunbar and had to be carried off,everyone at the club wish him a speedy recovery.

Next Saturday in a break from league business, we are on our travels to Brechin in the first round of the East of Scotland Cup.   

Fauldhouse United 19's will play under the umbrella of Fauldhouse United Juniors,training and supplying players for the future. All home games will be played at Parkview.

Ally Graham has signed for Lesmahagow Juniors,Ally has had two spells at Parkview and we wish him well at his new club.
