Delaware Invitational Tournaments, Inc. will be hosting its 1st Annual 14U–12U ASA
Memorial Day Tournament.
The tournament will be held Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25, 2008. If in the
event that there is inclement weather, the tournament will continue into Monday, May
26, 2008.
Strict ASA Rules will be followed. Each team is guaranteed five games. Each team will
play four pool play games and will be seeded for single elimination championship play
which will begin Sunday morning.
Tournament registration fee is $495.00 per team. The fees will cover umpires, balls,
trophies, and a portion will be donated to the McKenzie Travis College Softball
Scholarship Fund and the Delaware Storm 14U travel team. This year we are giving out
nine scholarships; two for Delaware High School graduates, one for a Delaware resident
currently in college playing softball, one for a tournament player, one for a camp
participant, and four at large scholarships. Visit our website for scholarship
applications. Entry fees are non-refundable. The registration deadline for this
tournament is April 30th and since this tournament is first come, first serve, we will be
sending out acceptance packets upon receiving registration and money. Once all teams
are accepted they will be posted on the website www.delawareinvitational.org.
Tournament is limited to 64 quality teams.
We will continually be updating the website with pertinent information regarding the
tournament including: directions, brackets, lodging, participating teams, forms required
from participating teams, etc. so please check the site periodically.
