Fastpitch Showdowns is happy to be hosting a five-game guarantee tournament at Tealtown Park in the Cincinnati area. For those of you who aren't familiar with the Park, it has 18 fields and is managed by an all volunteer organization ! Our kudos go out to such a hard-working group of men and women.

The tournament will be geared towards the younger age groups as we know most of the high school teams will still be in their season. But it will be a solid tune-up for the younger girls as we will give all teams 5 games and each game will be a full 90 minutes. It is a perfect time for all the teams to experiment ( we allow up to 12 batters ) with the players, and get them ready for the summer season.

The format of the tournament will be just two days as we know school is still in session. Each age bracket will be divided into two pools.Then each team will play 3 pool games on Saturday and then a pool game on Sunday. Then on Sunday each team will play the corresponding finisher in the other pool.In this way your last game will be against a team of a similar skill level, and all teams will know when all their games are. This way no one will have to play late because there is school the next day.And the winner of each pool in an age group will play for medals.

So we certainly invite you to come to the tournament and support Tealtown and their efforts.It should be a fun weekend of spring softball.

Information:

Yes the ASA is alive and well in West Virginia and we are happy to host an
Eastern National Qualifier for them in Parkersburg. If you are not currently
sanctioned by ASA, you can do it on site for a mere $20.We have put on
tournaments for several years in Ohio, and we look forward to coming to West
Virginia.

The tournament will be a 6 game guarantee so all the girls get lots of
ball.And all games will be 90 minutes in length so all the teams can finish,
or come close to finishing, their games.

The format will be set up so that all teams play five pool games on Friday
and Saturday. Then Sunday the teams will be split up depending on how they
did in pool play to go into either the "A" bracket or the "B" bracket, and
then go into separate single elimination tournaments - and they do not meet.
This will ensure that all games Sunday will be very competitive,and there
will be awards in each bracket.

So there will be lots of softball in Parkersburg that weekend and we invite
you to come join the fun.

We are going to put on another All Sanctioned World Series in 2010 at Berliner Park - the largest softball complex in the United States. And we invite you to come. It is aimed primarily at the teams that don't participate in a national sanctioning body's World Series, either because they can't commit the time and/or budget, but they still want the girls to have that experience.
It will be open to teams of every recognized sanction that have finished in the top 8 of any tournament they have entered in 2009 or 2010. And there is no silly requirement that you must play in one of our other tournaments or stay in a certain hotel. We do offer discounted hotel rooms but you are welcome to stay where you would like. It is open to all teams in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Missouri & Canada.
We will still have all the things that you expect from a World Series - Opening Ceremonies, Parade of Teams, Skills contests, Scholarship, Pin Trading, Most Valuable Team awards, Spirit awards, Gift swaps, Souvenir program, etc. But most of all it will be a fun competitive weekend for the girls to end and remember their summer.
Most details will be posted by January 1 2010 as we work on improving things from last year, but we just wanted to let you know there definitely will be one next year. So for those of you that don't have it in your work schedule or budget to spend a full week away, or if you just want to use it as a warm-up for nationals, we certainly invite you to come join the fun.



Also because many girls are having difficulty paying their fees in these economic times,we have come up with a completely optional,no cost fundraiser for those teams that are interested that will enable them to come to the tournament. Please see website for details.

Welcome to the Memorial Madness, the largest early-season tournament in the state of Kentucky. This tournament normally hosts 45-50 teams from the 8U to 14U divisions.

Tournament format will be 3 pool games plus a single elimination tournament. ASA rules will apply but an additional EP will be allowed. Games will be 7 innings or 75 minutes. Helmet straps are REQUIRED!

Entry fee is $275 and a gate fee will be collected. The tournament is held in scenic Woodford County Park located near Falling Spring Arts and Recreational Facility in Versailles, KY.

Trophies and T shirts are awarded to the Champion and Runner up teams. Also, each team will award an MVP to a player of the opposing team after each game.

Division Champions will be awarded a berth in the 2010 ASA Northern Region tournament. These tournaments typically host 50-150 of the finest teams throughout the US.

This tournament has filled each of the four years of existence. The tournament will be held at the beautiful Mike Miller Park located at 596 US Highway 68 W in Benton, KY 42025. This area is known for being near the scenic Kentucky Lake and the Land Between the Lakes area. You can make a mini vacation by enjoying the fishing, camping, hiking and playing in an outstanding softball tournament.

The tournament will be a four game guarantee (weather permitting) with the format determined by the number of entries in each division.
