B1 scoring on R2 interference?

R2. 1 out. B1 hits ball to short and R2 is called for interference. How is the AB scored?

Historically baseball gave the batter a hit. ASA changed that years back to a Fielder's Choice whenever a batter reaches first base as a result of a preceding runner committing interference .
