WELCOME DIPLOMAT FOOTBALL FANS
Don’t you just love the fall! Cool weather and football – there’s nothing like it!
The 2009 football season is upon us and with it the continuation of a proud tradition – the Franklin and Marshall College Diplomat Football Program. The 2009 team will quickly be writing their chapter of this history. We look with excitement towards a wonderful season in which players strive to fulfill their dreams, especially the seniors; and coaches, school administration and fans do their utmost to make the season an unforgettable, unique collegiate football experience for the team.
The Diplomat Football Parents Group is an essential part of this tradition. We are a group of parents working together to ensure everyone experiences a fantastic season. Each of our parents is essential to the achievement of this goal. As the “illustrious leader” of this organization, I count myself lucky to work with such a giving group. It is my pleasure to invite, nay encourage, all of our parents to get involved. We are open to your input. Your ideas, energy and enthusiasm will combine to make this a very special time for everyone.
We are also lucky to have this website to support our program and for that we have Bob Kellar to thank. As a freshman parent last year, which was the site’s first year, I found it to be a very useful, informative venue for gathering information on all things related to Diplomat Football. Use this sight to check on all news from the Parent Group whether it involves ordering apparel, updates on tailgating locations, or opposing team info…..you can find it here. Please check the website often and if you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to speak up. And in the meantime, when you see Bob, be sure to say thanks for all his efforts.
If your son is like mine, he is hard at work in the weight room and eating you out of house and home. He is anxiously awaiting his opportunity to prove himself on the field.
Their batteries are getting recharged and they are excited to head into the season…the end goal…the playoffs. As part of the excitement, the returning parents happily welcome new parents to our ranks and look forward to sharing the thrill of watching our sons play college football. I look forward to meeting each of you. Enjoy a wonderful season!
GO DIPLOMATS!!!
