F.A.L.L. NEWS UPDATE FOR APRIL 9, 2013

We hope you had a great Spring Break and that you are ready to play ball!

Reminders:

Tomorrow (April 9) is the last day to order A’s Little League Day Tickets - Please inform your Team Mom immediately (by Noon Tuesday) if you want tickets. The A’s Little League Day is a lot of fun. In addition to the game, there are a lot of other fun activities. So make sure you place your order now. Once the League places the order we cannot add tickets to our group. Additional tickets, if available, would be seated in a different section.

 

Spirit Day – April 20th – is fast approaching. This year’s theme is “Super Heroes” and “Red, White and Blue”. Work with your players and Team Mom to coordinate how your team will display it's team spirit and have some fun. This year, we will play baseball games, have BBQ lunch, carnival games and our favorite... the Dunk Tank!. Get ready to dunk your favorite coach or board member.

 

Fundraising - All players are obligated to participate in fundraising activities. You can either buy-out for $75.00 or participate in fundraiser sales:

 

Fundraiser goods (Candy bars, Beef Sticks and/or Frozen Food order forms) are now available for pick up. If you have not already, please catch up with Cassy Visconti or your Team Mom to pick up your fundraiser goods (Candy, Frozen Food, and/or Beef Sticks).

 

Ducks 4 Bucksis going on now. This is an easy fundraiser and can help earn a lot for the League and meet your fundraising commitment. You will earn $3.00 toward fundraising for each duck you “sell”. If you need adoption forms, please pick up at the snack shack. Any adoption forms turned in to the shack manager will be counted towards your player’s fundraising commitment.

 

Rain Info:On rainy days, we will have the FALL e-teamz website www.eteamz.com/fall-fremont/ updated with game information as soon as we can. Parents can check the site, but should not rely solely on that for information. Parent should be getting rain out information directly Team Managers or the Team Parent. We also have a rain-out hotline. The hotline will be updated by 4pm every day. Note: We all know that weather changes quickly, so please understand we will do our best but more than likely there will be instances where the recording says a game is going to be played and it later gets postponed. If you do NOT get rain-out info from your Manager and the other sources do not cancel games – you MUST go to your game. Rain-outs are often game-time decisions. If you are not there your team may have to forfeit a game. Rain-out Hotline: 510-413-8113

League Volunteer Corner – the League needs you to step-up and help…

The League still needs a Head Scorekeeper. Please respond to this email if you have questions or are interested.

The League is in need of a Tournament Director. This person, with help from Board members, would coordinate and lead our delivery of Tournament Games in June and early July. Please respond to this email if you have questions or are interested.

Umpires – your teams and the League needs as many parents as possible to volunteer to help umpire. Now is the time to start. Our League needs to begin a long-term rebuilding of our Umpire ranks. You will get the training you need. This is a fun activity and a great opportunity to learn and experience the game. Please respond to this email if you have questions or are interested.
