Accuracy of Directions
ClearLakeFalconHoops is pleased to provide directions to all schools where the Falcons Varsity Team will play.
Every effort has been made to provide accurate directions to schools listed here.
Any discrepancies in these directions should be brought to the attention of the website administrator by clicking on Falconhoops .
Directions for out of town games or out of state tournament games will always be available. Please note: For out of state tournaments, the tournament headquarters school directions will be provided. In some cases directions to other tournament school gyms will be provided if enough advance notice is received prior to game time.
Local school directions are from the Clear Lake City area and are generally listed in alphabetical order. I have tried to provide a comprehensive and complete list of directions based on my travel experiences. School addresses are provided to assist fans with vehicle navigation systems.
Note 1: You can click on the compass symbol to get a map to the school. Please remember that MapQuest and Yahoo maps are sometimes inaccurate if you use these maps.

Clear Lake High School
Take Interstate 45 south toward Galveston to Bay Area Blvd.
Left (north) on Bay Area Blvd about 5 miles to light at Krueger Way (appears on some maps as Escuela Lane).
You will see the school on the left at the intersection.
Left on Krueger Way and right into parking lot at stop sign.

Right on Hwy 6. Go under railroad track overpass about 1/2 mile to first light at North 2nd Street.
Left on N 2nd to light at W Sealy.
Right on Sealy then immediate left on S 2nd Street.
Road deadends at stadium parking lot.
New gym is to the left before you enter stadium parking lot.

This brings you to the school from the back side.
Go about 1.2 miles to school on right.
As you approach the school after stop sign, turn right into parking lot. Gym is at far end of parking lot.

Butler Field House is between Chimney Rock and Hillcroft on South Main.
Take I-45 from Clear Lake to the Sam Houston Tollway.
Go west (left) on Sam Houston Tollway (SHT).
Take Hillcroft Exit off SHT. (This is also the Fort Bend Toll Road exit. The signage for Hillcroft can easily be missed since there is only one small sign).
From access road turn Right at the first opportunity onto Hillcroft. Road winds for about 1 mile to Hwy 90.
Right on Hwy 90 (Main St.) to Butler Field House on right (about 1/4 mile).
Go past buildings to last entrance to parking lot.
Turn Right into huge lot.

Depending on the time of day, the Hardy Toll Road may be faster than taking I-45 north out of Houston.
To take the Hardy Toll Road: From I-45 northbound at exit 46A take the ramp Right onto US 59 toward Cleveland.
After about 4.8 miles on Hwy 59, take Loop I-610 Left.
Immediately after entering Loop I-610, get over to the right, go past the Hwy 59 north exit and exit RIGHT onto the Hardy Toll Road North (exit 19B I believe).
Proceed on the Hardy Toll Road N for 22 miles.
Merge back on I-45 northbound and proceed for another 6 miles.
Take Exit 79, College Park Drive / Needham Rd exit.

First go through Friendswood to Alvin (this route is considerable shorter and faster than taking I45 and the SH Tollway).To do so:
Take NASA Parkway (FM528,formerly Nasa Road 1) southwest through Friendswood to Alvin.
As you approach Hwy 35 by the car dealer get in the right lane.
Cross Hwy 35 and continue to deadend at Business Hwy 35.
Left on Bus Hwy 35 about 1/2 mile to Hwy 6(first light).
Right on Hwy 6.
From this point, the school is exactly 17 miles.
Continue on Hwy 6 northeast through Manvel to Missouri City.
When you cross under Hwy 288 you are not quite seven miles from the turn to the school.
When you see the sign for the Fort Bend Tollway get in the right lane and DO NOT go over the overpass.
Hurricane Lane is the first (immediate) right. You can see the stadium lights as you approach the school.
Right on Hurricane Lane and proceed past the school to the Hopson Arena gym.
If you are not up for some step climbing to get to the ticket office, there is an elevator to the left of the steps.

Gym is in main school building which is to the right of the main parking lot as you face the stadium. Go in the first doors on your right from the parking lot between the two school buildings. You will be walking parallel with the street you came in on. Go all the way the length of the building until you get to the school's main lobby. Turn left there just past the columns and the gym is on the right up a few stairs. The Visitors side is the far side across the court.

Dobie High School is located just off Blackhawk south of The Sam Houston Tollway.
Take Interstate 45 north from Clear Lake to the Sam Houston Tollway.
Left on the Tollway to the Beamer/Blackhawk exit. You will not have to pay a toll.
Once on the access road (Beltway 8), go through the first light at Beamer to the second light.

The school is on the left but it is easy to miss because it is hidden by the trees which divide the road lanes. After you cross Woodland Hills Drive, start looking for the campus. Go past the first sighting of the campus to the crossovers. The second crossover (at the 3200 block) will take you onto the back end of the parking lot. The school entrance for the gym is clearly marked. Upon entering the school go to the left then immediately back to the right to the gym entrance. Visitors sit on the far side behind the scorer's table.
FYI: For those using their automobile navigation systems, some systems provide the location of the school incorrectly. The location is about 1 mile off. Continue down Kingwood Drive for about another mile before you will encounter the school on the left.
