Packer Factoids
- Member of the American Youth Football and Cheerleading League.
- Incorporated in June 1972, The Fairport Packers organization has been serving Fairport area youth for over 30 years.
- The Packers Program aligns itself with the Vince Lombardi philosophy of keeping the focus on the kids not the adults. Winning is secondary while the fundamentals of football and cheerleading are taught.
- Over 200 youths participate the contact and flag programs.
- Many Packers alumni continue and play modified, high school and college football.
- Sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, and courage are the Fairport Packers underlying principles.
About the Fairport Packers
The Fairport Packers Youth Football & Cheerleading League serves Perinton Area youth ranging in age from 6 to 14. For more information on age and weight restrictions, see our Requirements page.
Fundraisers
The Fairport Packer organization tries to limit the number of fundraising activities. Our expenses are covered through registration fees. We earn revenue from the sale of ads in the Annual Packer Memory Book and from the Packers' concession stand.
Each football or cheerleading participant receives a memory book as part of the fundraising fee.
The Packers coordinate one community service project each year which we encourage all participants to take part in. The local charity or organization is selected by the Packers' Board of Directors.
