National Pop Warner
Pop Warner Little Scholars is a non-profit organization that enables children to benefit from participation in team sports and activities in a safe and structured environment. Pop Warner Programs teach fundamental values, skills and knowledge that children use throughout their lives. Founded in 1929, the philosophy has always been that athletics and scholastics go hand in hand.
Pop Warner: Ages and Weights for Tackle and Spirit Programs
There are Nine Divisions of play, all determined by a strict age/weight scale to ensure safe and balanced competition.
A child's age on July 31 is his/her age for the season. A player may gain 1 pound per week after the second game, up to a maximum of 9 pounds.
Weights do not apply to Spirit program. Spirit program follows age classification only.
Southern Connecticut Pop Warner
Southern Connecticut Pop Warner (SCPW) is a non-profit football and cheer league that consists of 17 cities and towns from Fairfield, Hartford and New Haven counties and New York City, with over 4000 participants.
New England Pop Warner
The New England Region, as the name implies, is comprised of the six New England States and is the smallest in physical area of the eight regions that make up the National Pop Warner Program. However, in spite of our small physical size, the New England Region has the second largest number of teams of the eight regions and continues to grow on an annual basis.
