 **Press Release**

The Fairfield Giants Youth Football Program is proud to announce the new Executive Board of Directors for the 2012 term at the close of its General Assembly on the 11th of January, 2012. The election of new members occurred after the retirement of three veteran program volunteers, Jack Tetreau, Jay Dunn, and Mark Schiller, all of whom displayed tremendous dedication and commitment throughout their tenure with FPW.

Jack Tetreau served Fairfield Pop Warner for over a decade.  In addition to coaching at every level within Pop Warner, he served in various capacities on the Board of Directors including Athletic Director and President.  Mr. Tetreau, part of a long football tradition in the Town of Fairfield, arrived at Fairfield Pop Warner in 2002 and was instrumental in turning the program into a nationally recognized powerhouse. As witnessed in the program he helped to re-build, the Giants went on to win six Connecticut State Titles, three New England Championships and a National Championship.

Jay Dunn served the program for 8 years and volunteered countless hours at Sullivan Field as a coach, Board Member, and the last three as the Executive Vice President.  His tireless dedication will be missed greatly.

Mark Schiller served four years in the program as Treasurer.  His sense of public and community service was a true asset to the program.

Mark A Innaimo will lead FPW as President. Mr. Innaimo has been Athletic Director since 2008 and a Head Coach/General Board Member since 2004. As President, Innaimo will strive to establish a positive results-orientated plan for the growth and continued prosperity of our organization, as well as to provide leadership and communication that will continue to make FPW a leader within the youth football community.

The newly elected 2012 Fairfield Pop Warner Executive Board is as follows:
  • Mr. Mark Innaimo – President
  • Mr.  Johnny Vasquez – Vice President
  • Mr. Dave Houghton – Athletic Director
  • Mr. Mark Cirilli – Treasurer
  • Mr. Lee Battista – Recording Secretary
  • Ms. Michelle Scholz – Cheer Coordinator

Respectfully,

The Board of Directors

Our program has recently achieved great popularity at the local, state, and national levels. Some accomplishments of the last four years include 4 State Championships, 3 Regional Titles and 1 National Championship.  Our Pee Wee team finished the 2009 season ranked 4th in the Nation. Our 2008 Jr Midget cheer team finished ranked #1 in the Nation winning the National Championship.  The 2007 Jr. Pee Wee’s finished the year with a #2 National ranking after playing in the 2007 National Championship game vs. California. Such success has made our program exclusive in the New England Region and has gained national notoriety amongst the best programs in the country.
