FUNDRAISING

Welcome to the Fundraising page. Fairfax Little League is a nonprofit organization and all expenses are paid for by monies received from registration, fundraising activities, sponsors, boosters, and concession stand revenues. Last season, the average cost for a child to participate in the league was close to $210.00, although the participation fee is much less. We were able to cover these expenses and make the league a great place for your players by your support and the dedicated volunteers who assist in so many areas. Please visit our Volunteer page for volunteer opportunities throughout the league. If you would like to assist the Director of Fundraising, please contact Missy Greene at missyfay76@msn.com. Thank you!

Christmas Tree Sales

Fairfax Little League Christmas Tree Sales

Please support Fairfax Little League and Robinson and Woodson High Schools by buying your Christmas tree at one of our stands this upcoming year.   Every year Fairfax Little League teams with these high school baseball programs to sell Christmas trees. While the heavy lifting involved with running the Christmas tree sales is being done by the baseball and softball programs from the schools, Fairfax Little League will benefit to the tune of roughly $5,000 from this effort. Details will be published to this website as Christmas nears.

The Christmas tree sales locations are:

  • Pickett (Thaiss Park) Fields - Fairfax Little League & WT Woodson baseball & softball programs
  • Robinson High School tennis courts - Fairfax Little League & Robinson baseball program
  • Burke Field -- Virginia Rail Express parking lot

The trees are Frasier Firs grown on White Top Mountain in southwest Virginia. Frasier firs are highly durable trees and retain their needles well. One thing that separates our trees from others is that they are grown in Virginia. Since they are cut only weeks before they go on sale, they are fresher and hold their needles longer then trees bought from other lots in the area. Most of the trees are either in the 6-7 foot or 7-8 foot range. There are some smaller trees (5-6 foot and table tops) and a few larger ones (9-10 feet). All the trees are marked and the price is determined by the height of the tree and overall shape or condition.
