Registration Information 2009/2010 Season
Formal registration will take place September 12th, 19th, and 26th from 9AM - 2 PM at the Freedom Optimist Hall. The cost is as follows:
- Kindergarten, Instructional and Clinic Girls Divisions - $40 per child in a family.
- Clinic Boys, Intermediate, Junior, and Senior Girls - $80 per child in a family
- Senior Boys - $100 per child in a family
- Note: There is an additional fee for travel players.
We will try to accommodate late registrations, but we cannot guarantee a place on a team after official registration is held. An additional $5.00 will be assessed for late registration as of September 26th.
Late Registration Deadline 2009/2010 Season
This season, in coordination with our Procedure for Forming Teams, FABL will enforce the Late Registration deadline. The last day to submit for late registration is Sunday, October 4th .
Our Philosophy
The mission of the Freedom Area Basketball League(FABL) is to provide education, instruction and recreation in the game of basketball for the young people of the Freedom Area community.
Who May Participate
INTRAMURAL PROGRAM
The intramural program is open to all children in grades K-12 with divisional separations as follows:
Boys
- Pre Instructional - Grade K only
- Instructional - Grades 1 & 2
- Clinic - Grade 3 & 4
- Intermediate - Grades 5 & 6
- Junior - Grades 7 & 8
- Senior - Grade 9 - 12
Girls
- Pre Instructional - Grade K only
- Instructional - Grades 1 & 2
- Clinic - Grade 3 & 4
- Intermediate - Grades 5 & 6
- Junior - Grades 7 & 8
- Senior - Grade 9 - 12
**Structure may be altered to adjust for registration numbers**
TRAVEL PROGRAM
The Travel Program provides the opportunity for select Travel Team play for both boys and girls, as governed by the leagues they participate in. The level of competition here, for the most part, is much more difficult. The coach of each team will select players based on tryouts.
The levels of competition are a follows:
Girls:
- 5th Grade Travel Team
- 6th Grade Travel Team
- 7th Grade Travel Team
- 8th Grade Travel Team
Boys:
- 4th Grade Travel Team
- 5th Grade Travel Team
- 6th Grade Travel Team
- 7th Grade Travel Team
- 8th Grade Travel Team

Refund Policy
All requests for registration refunds must be addressed in writing to:
Due to administrative costs, the refund schedule is as follows:
- Postmarked before Divisions 1st practice: 100% refund
- Postmarked before Divisions 1st game: 50% refund/keep uniform
- Postmarked after Divisions 1 st game: 0% refund/keep uniform
