Express Black takes 3rd in State and 5th in World Series
Our team had a very successful season.We placed 3rd in the state tournament and 5th in the USSSA World Series that was held in Pace, Florida. We are so proud of the boys. Way to go guys! Every player on the team contributed to the team's success. I hope the boys can continue to play together as a team in the coming year.
We had a great time in Florida. Even got to meet a movie star! The boys were surprised to find out that Tracy Goode of "Facing your Giants" was staying in our hotel, and was gracious enough to give everyone his autograph as well as trying to get their spirits up after we were knocked out of the tournament. He even took a picture of himself and the team on his cell phone, how cool is that! The swim party at the hotel was a BIG SPLASH! The boys didn't miss throwing anyone in the pool. Including their Team Mom. I think a few chairs even went in with a couple of people.
I really enjoyed being Team Mom this year. I feel privileged for having the chance to get to know each and everyone of the boys. What a great group of kids. God love 'em!
Tryouts for the next season will be held in the next few weeks. As soon as date is scheduled I will post it, as well as notify everyone by e-mail.
