Saturday, November 19 Playing duration for league games Under 18's games will be played in 2 x 20 minute periods. Under 14's games will be played in 2 x 20 minute periods. Under 12's games will be played in 2 x 20 minute periods. PLEASE NOTE: All games are played on Sundays at the Dawlish Leaisure Centre. Saturday, November 19 Notification of unavailability for league games Taking part in league games is the reason for going through the effort of training. Due to the nature of hockey the emphasis on it being a team sport is magnified. Therefore the loss of a player can severely impact the success of the team. We will always assume that EVERY player is available for selection. If a player is unavailable due to other reasons than sickness we require 2 weeks notice of unavailability. The onus is on the player to inform the Manager. Saturday, November 19 Transport for league games Now that we play all games at the Dawlish Leisure Centre there is no requirement to have special travel arrangements. Therefore all players (parents) are expected to make their own transport arrangements. You must be at the sports centre 40 minutes before face-off time. Saturday, November 19 Team Selection We understand that players cannot attend every training session. However if a player regularly misses training then this will obviously impact his/her team mates’ ability to do well in the league. Therefore, if a player regularly misses training they will have to work themselves back into the league team as they have to accept that their place and position is not guaranteed. Teams will be selected on a ‘to win’ basis for all league games. |
