Information about safety on the rink As of this season (2002/03) all on-rink coaches will wear helmets during scrimmages and similar routines. A roller hockey puck can be very dangerous to those not wearing protective equipment regardless of how hard it is hit. It is important that players are aware of the following mandatory rules regarding the use of a puck: « No player will be allowed to use a puck without the express permission of the Coaches. « No pucks will be allowed on the rink before training starts. « At the end of a training drill the players will not continue to use the pucks until the Coaches restart the training drills. « Players will not be allowed to use a puck if they are not wearing a helmet. For the purpose of safety and insurance only registered officials will be allowed on the rink when training has started. During home matches the Fire Doors are opened to allow parents the opportunity of watching the games. Can parents please be diligent of flying pucks when viewing from the Fire Doors |
