Welcome to Central Iowa Excaliburs Track Club Website!!!
We first would like to thank you for visiting our website. Our mission is to develop young athletes with positive outlooks and attitudes in Des Moines and the surrounding areas. OUR OBJECTIVES ARE AS FOLLOWS: *To create a nationally competitive track club *To develop discipline, responsibility, and social skills in young people *To provide academic tutoring and scholarship opportunities *Expand our membership and increase parent involvement *Increase community awareness, support, and participation in track and field We would like to personally thank all of the coaches, board members, athletes, and volunteers for helping in the development of our wonderful track club. Our shared enthusiasm for track and field and for the youth of our community is what drives our success. We will continue to strive for greatness on and off of the track and settle for nothing less. A wise man once said "best is always better, but never stop striving until your best is better than best". This quote embodies the spirit and philosophy of our team. We will work hard each day and push each other to be our very best. May 12 Excalibur Meet Schedule
CENTRAL EXCALIBURS TRACK MEET – REGISTRATION BEGINS AT 7:30am WAUKEE HIGH SCHOOL, SATURDAY, MAY 12,2012 Registration: $5.00 athlete participation fee Spectator fee: $5.00 per person; kids 5 and under FREE AGE DIVISIONS are determined by the age you are on December 31, 2012 Age Group Number of Events 2004 and later 8 and under SA-Sub Bantam 3 events 2002-2003 9 & 10 year olds A – Bantam 3 events 2000-2001 11 & 12 year olds B – Midget 3 events 1998-1999 13 & 14 year olds C – Youth 4 events 1996-1997 15 & 16 year olds D – Intermediate 4 events 1994-1995 17 & 18 year olds E- Young Men/Women 4 events Participants in groups ABC must qualify at a meet like this to participate in the State Meet. FIELD EVENTS BEGIN AT 9am HIGH JUMP Starting Heights: A (9 & 10) B (11-12) C(13-14) Girls 3’0 3’4 3’8 Boys 3’0 3’6 4’0 Events Eligible Participants Long Jump A,B,C Shot Put A,B,C Discus B,C RUNNING EVENTS BEGIN AT 10 AM Girls followed by boys in all events Walks and other events may be combined pending number of participants. 10:00 AM 1500m walk A,B 3000m walk C 3000m, Run B,C 100m (FINAL) A,B,C, 200m hurdles (FINAL) C 4 x 800 relay A,B,C 400 (FINAL) A,B,C 80m Hurdles B 100m Hurdles C 200 (FINAL) A,B,C 800m Run A,B,C 4 x 100 relay A,B,C 1500m run A,B,C 4 x 400 relay A,B,C All competitors should report to the Clerk of Course immediately after your event is called, pay close attention to the progress of the meet as we plan to proceed without delay. Excalibur Track Meet - May 12, 2012
Central Iowa Excaliburs Track Club will have their meet May 12th at Waukee High School. The field events will start at 9am and the running events will start at 10am. Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Parents we are still looking for volunteers to assist with the track meet please sign up with Denise.
