The Ewing Girls Travel Soccer Club began in December of 1998 to offer the young ladies of Ewing Township and surrounding areas, the opportunity to make friends, have fun, improve their skills and play soccer at a more competitive level.

Through the dedicated work of numerous adult volunteers, as well the fine effort and support from Ewing Township, there are a total of seven teams competing in South Jersey Girls Soccer League and/or the Jersey Area Girls Soccer League for the Fall of 2006. They will range from the U-10 to the U-16. We all wish them the best of luck this season.

Open try-outs are held in May.

Our club meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at the Ewing Township Recreation Building off Scotch Road. The next meeting will be Monday, September 11, 2006 at 8:00 PM.

We will host the annual Ewing Labor Day tournament September 2nd & 3rd, 2006.

The players, coaches and parents wish to thank the following people for the their continued support:

Wendell Pribila, Mayor
Jim McManimon, Administrator
Mike Slack, Chairman, Recreation Commission
Ted Forst, Director, Community Affairs
Nevelle Jones, Parks Superintendant

34th Annual National Invitational Tournament

A new tradition for a new millenium is happening in Ewing Township, New Jersey. Ewing Girls Travel Soccer Association will host the N.I.T. Labor Day 2006 Soccer Tournament.

In its 34 years, the N.I.T. has attracted teams from the Tri-State area, as well as Connecticut, Virginia and Massachusetts. We are proud of our well-maintained facilities and the caliber of competition that we provide.

The N.I.T. 2006 is open to Boys' and Girls' teams from U9 through U15. Teams will play a minimum of three games on Saturday and Sunday, with semifinals (if needed) and finals on Sunday afternoon. A maximum of 3 guest players is allowed. Trophies will be awarded to first and second place teams in the U11 through U16 brackets, and U9 and U10 teams will receive participation awards as mandated by the rules and regulations of NJYS.

Evening games on our two lit fields are a popular choice for our older teams. On the Friday evening of registration, we traditionally hold games under the lights. A team or two from Ewing Girls' Travel will play local teams that are entered in the N.I.T. It is a great way to open up the tournament weekend.

It is our sincere wish that you choose the N.I.T. 2006 Labor Day Soccer Tournament for your fall season tune-up.
