.........................................EVESWELL UNITED AFC
Thanks for visiting the Eveswell United AFC Web Page
Eveswell are based in the City of Newport in South Wales UK. All of Eveswells games are played under the shadow of the world famous Transporter Bridge on the banks of the River Usk.
Formed in 1985, Eveswell have become one of the leading junior football clubs in South Wales. In addition to running boys teams from ages 7 to 13, we also now have a very progressive girls section with ages ranging from 7 to 12. As a club, we are proud of the way our teams play football, focussing on individual flair and the development of key skills as well as a quick and high tempo passing game. These skills are developed from an early age, Eveswell were the first club in Newport to run a Nursery for 4 -6 year olds and the basis for all of our squads is born in the Nursery.
Our Coaches are all FAW trained and Police checked, many are associated with Professional Clubs such as Cardiff City and Bristol Rovers and also coach in Brazilean and Dutch Soccer Schools. As a Club we encourage Coach and player development, parential participation and a sense of belonging. Our kids are drawn from all areas of the City of Newport, giving them a wide social network outside of their immediate School and residential area.
In addition to regular training, which takes place on a Saturday morning between 10 and 12 at the Newport International Sports Village, the club holds regular social events for both parents and Children, culminating in a Summer tour and spectacular end of season presentation evening.
If you are interested in joining our club, please look at the page for the team that represents your age group; we welcome all players at all ages and all standards.

YOUR CLUB
Following the recent AGM, a new committee has been established. This committee will hopefully free the coaches up to do what they do best, coach! There are a number of things the committee will be trying to do, namely develop the coaching and playing standards, provide the parents with more information and a vehicle for them to feedback and with an eye to the future, the continued development of the nursery and extending the club into youth and mens football. Our own clubhouse would also be a bonus! The new committee:
Kevin Waterhouse: Chairman
Rob Nelson: Vice Chairman
Helen Beveridge: Secretary
Peter Hard: Treasurer
Coaches Rep: Stuart Lee
