Christmas Break Weights and Preseason Camp
The weight room will be open for baseball players on December 21-23 and December 28-31 from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Also there is an optional preseason camp that will focus on live hitting. It will be held December 29-31 at the Evangel baseball field from 2:30-3:30 p.m. and will cost $30. Contact Coach Joe at 318-572-9810 to register or with any questions you might have.

Twenty-one Players on Academic Honor Lists
Twenty-one members of the Eagles baseball team are being honored this week for their academic achievements during the first nine weeks grading period. The Chancellor's List is for students that received a 4.0 GPA and includes: Carson Castellano, Connor Castellano, Landon Crane, David Dee Duron, and Antonio Rivera. The Principal's List is for students with a 3.5-3.9 GPA and contained the following players: Nathan Fielder, Spencer Goodwin, Caleb Goodwin, Hayden Jennings, Jack Parker, Matthew Kimmel, Chase Moore, Kameron Garlington, and Bronson Gillam. The final list is the Honor Roll for students with a 3.0-3.4 GPA and included: Dakota Duron, Trent Taylor, Daniel Cucjen, Chase Clarke, Josh Lang, Harlan Richter, and Josh Melville.
Congratulations go out to these players and their parents for these honors.

Former Eagle Tug Hulett Plays for Team USA
Former Evangel Eagle baseball player Tug Hulett has had the opportunity to represent his alma mater in several instances. Tug was an All American baseball player at Auburn University (2001-2004) before he was selected in the Major League draft by the Texas Rangers. He has played in the Major League with the Seattle Mariners (2008) and this season with the Kansas City Royals. However, Tug was recently given the opportunity to also represent his country by playing for Team USA in the World Cup (baseball's version of the World Championships).
Tug and Team USA have played in Germany, the Netherlands, and in the host country Italy. Tug is batting .275 with 2 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR. Hulett went 2-2 1 2B, 1 3B, 2 walks, and scored 2 runs against Venezuela in a United States victory that clinched a spot in the medal round. The medal round will begin on Spetember 25 and will be played in Italy. Team USA has a record of 10-1 and can be followed on their webstite www.usabaseball.com.

Attention Players and Parents! Please Register With Eteamz!
Attention: All Evangel Baseball Players and Parents As of 2008 Coach Hulett, will be communicating with parents and players on the Evangel Eagles Baseball Website with eteamz.
Per Tim Hulett, every player must have their own email address. They will be notified of rain outs, game time changes and other important information.
Please follow these steps listed below to sign each player up. Parents are encouraged to sign up because there will be special notification for parents too.
Evangel Baseball Players/Parents Steps to get access to the website:
- Make yourself a free email account. (yahoo, hotmail, etc) or use your current email.
- Email Susie Adams your new email address. (susie@todaycpa.com)
- Start checking your new email for an invitation to the eteamz Evangel Eagles Baseball website. (YOU CAN NOT GET ONTO THE SITE ANY OTHER WAY)
- Log onto the site from your invitation email. Your email is your username and you need to set a new password.
- When you complete these steps you will be a member of the Evangel Eagles Baseball website.
- If you have any information you need to update for the site, just email it to Susie Adams (susie@todaycpa.com)
- Individual pictures will be taken when all the varsity players have registered on the website. If you have any other questions or need further assistance email or call Susie Adams.
