Oscar R. Guardado - Club President
Coach Oscar brings more than 20 years of competitive and semi-professional soccer experience, he is no stranger to club and professional soccer. Having played at a high level of competition, including show-cases and tournaments both domestic and international, coach Oscar began his professional soccer career in 1988 within his native country of El Salvador. After 3 years at this post, he moved back to Los Angeles and played semi-professionally until 2006.
Moving to Arizona in 2006, coach Oscar quickly began working within the San Tan Valley area to assist and mentor those local clubs he became a part of. With the support of the Johnson Ranch Community, he has brought Estudantez AZ Soccer Club to the local community. It is his goal to train and motivate those players that have the "X" factor into performing at the next level. His plan has always been to change the mentality of those who love the sport so much, into thinking and looking at it more as "Soccer Is Not Just A Sport!!! It Is A Form Of Art"
Oscar currently holds a "D" and "E" Coaching Licenses from AYSA (Arizona Youth Soccer Association) approved by the State Of Arizona and the USSF (United States Soccer Federation). A Qualified Soccer Trainer Diploma from CSCA (California Soccer Coaches Association) approved by the State of California and the SPSL (Semi Pro Soccer Leagues). He is a member of the NFHS and he is currently the trainer for Poston Butte High School girls soccer program and the General Manager of the Phoenix Monsoon Semi-Pro Soccer Team.

Manny "Profe" Arias - Club Director of Coaching
Coach Manny played in the first division professional league (1971 - 1983) in his
native country of El Salvador and semi-professionally here in the United States (1983 - 1997). Having the opportunity to play at professional levels at such an early age and for such an extended time, has given him the ability to understand the game at the highest levels. His experience as a player has given him insight and the ability to train players and coaches to a superior stage of understanding and playing of the game.
From a professional coaching standpoint, Manny has been involved with the United Soccer League Division 3 team Arizona Saguaros and the Women’s United Soccer Association Division 2 Arizona Heatwave, As he is doing now, Coach Manny has been the driving force in establishing and running many of Arizona’s club teams, including Chivas USA, Atlas FC Academy, Barcelona FC and
Estudantez AZ Clube Do Futebol. His current head coaching position is for his local high school boys varsity soccer team, Poston Butte High School and the NPSL’s Phoenix Monsoon.
Manny holds an USSF “A” License, a NSCAA National Youth License, is a member of AEFES and holds a NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma. He is also an instructor for the Arizona Youth Soccer Association.

Jason Madvig - Club Director of Recreational Programs
Coach Jason join us this year as our new Director of Recreational Program, he has been involved in sports since he was a young child. His main focus has always been soccer, where he has been a player, coach and referee; all to learn the different elements of the game. As a youth, Jason played for his high school varsity team and trained with an Arizona select team in Europe for a summer. This afforded him the opportunity to play in both the Holland Cup and Gothia Cup, from here, Jason continued playing with various club teams and 2 years of college soccer.
From an instructor standpoint. Coach Jason has spent time as an instructor at both the high school and college levels. Coach Jason holds an Arizona Youth Soccer Association State 'E', 'D' Licenses and National 'D' License, a Coerver Coaching Youth Diploma, NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma, he is a current member of the National Soccer Coaches Asociation of America and is the boys varsity soccer coach at Apache Junction High School. He looks forward to bringing his years of teaching and instructing to your children.
