PARENTS/VOLUNTEER PLEDGE
I will teach all children to play fair and do their best.
I will positively support all managers, coaches and players.
I will respect the decisions of the umpires.
I will praise a good effort despite the outcome of the game
Important Information For Parents...
-
Please be considerate and clean up any messes before leaving a game. Let's leave a good impression, show our respect for the property we own, not to mention teach our children how to be responsible spectators and players. The minors, majors, and juniors fields, stands, and dugouts are used, maintained, and cleaned by our high school players and coaches too.
-
We ask that you take the time to read the Parent's Code of Conduct below.
-
When at games (either home or away) remember that you represent not only your child's team, but our town, and our league (show them our small town friendliness and great sportsmanship!). Model behavior that you want your children to follow.
-
The Umpire is ALWAYS right.
-
Remember that the league is run by volunteers, not paid employees, and that sponsorships and our fundraiser is what supports our teams.
-
Get involved; thank your coaches and umpires (yes, even them!), participate as a parent to support our kids (becoming a team parent or volunteering in our concession stand is a simple way to help and get to know people), and if you know any of our sponsors...thank them.
-
Encourage safe and responsible behavior with bats...even at home.

q Parents Responsibilities towards League Safety:
A great many of league rules have evolved for the safety of the players, coaches, and spectators. Rules such as no on deck batters and no sliding head first into bases are examples. All coaches and managers are committed to upholding these rules for the safety of everyone. Please take time to listen and learn these rules from the coaches. Take these lessons home with you while practicing with your child. By following the same rules and principles away from the practice field and using them every time a bat or baseball is picked up at home will reinforce these items and set a good example for all kids. Here are a few of these rules;- NO ONE HOLDS A BAT! – Many players bring their own bats to practice and games. Bats need to stay on the ground or in an equipment bag at all times unless the coach directs otherwise. There should always be a location bats are to be kept to ensure that they are not being swung until instructed to do so. The most serious injuries in Little League happen from bats. No one ever tries to “accidentally” hit someone with a bat, but it happens all too regularly.
- Any medical information that could affect your child needs to be expressed. At the first of the year parents are required to fill out medical release forms as well as indicate any issues that might affect the health of the child. These documents are provided to the coaches for use during the season. Some times things change in four months. These types of items need to be brought to the managers or coaches attention so their records can be updated.
- Routinely check your child’s baseball gear for safety issues. A dent in a bat or loose stitching on a glove could result in an unforeseen incident. Broken shoe laces can cause an ankle twist. By regularly checking their ball gear we can remove these risk factors.
- Arrive to practice and games early to allow the time for proper warm-ups, stretching, and conditioning.
Help out at practices when you can. The more eyes there are watching the children, the less likely there will be accidents.
