History of Erne Eagles Rounders Club
The club was formed in 1984 by Maeve and Fidelma Sheridan when they were still in their late teens. Initially the club only entered teams in the Community Games Rounders competition in Cavan.
The club is now run by Sean Hughes with able assistance from numerous coaches and assistants down through the years; Dympna Reilly, Jim Reilly, James Anderson, Patrica Beglin, Gary Reilly, William Reilly to mention a few.
The club now competes in competitions run by The Rounders Association of Ireland as well as Community Games. This enables the club to cater for all teams up to and including Senior Level.
We have recently been successful in winning a number of competitions and National Finals. These include Senior Mens, Minor Mens, Gary Kelly Cup, U-14 Mixed and Clontibret Blitz Plate winners.
The club now has an Committee looking after it's interests and has approx. 80 members.
