U15 Boys win National Finals Community Games Gold
Our U15 Boys won gold in the recent National Community Games Finals, for the first time ever. Never before in the history of Rounders in the area have we managed to win a gold in The National Community Games Finals. We have a number of silvers and loads of bronze medals but never gold. This makes this achievement special and ranks right up there with other achievements the club has managed. Two years ago, this team while u13 came fourth in the Finals, Last year they won Silver. So there were high hopes for this team this year that they might do well. Well they did, bringing home Erne Valleys second gold ever at the National Community Games Finals. In the semi-final the lads defeated Leinster champions, Limekiln, 21-12. In the final they defeated Munster champions, Clarecastle, 13-7. Team: Neill Mc Gahern, Aaron Fegan, Shane Shiels, Fionnan O Reilly, Sean Mc Keogh, Ryan Kieran, Tadgh Mc Gahern, Adrian Rabbitte, Neill Harten, Eddie Mc Gahern, Philip Tierney.
