Erne Eagles Rounders Club
Welcome to Erne Eagles Rounders Club. We are the first Irish Rounders Club to have a web site dedicated to Rounders on the Web. This web site was set up in 1995.
We are the All Ireland Womens Senior Champions 2007, All Ireland Mens Senior Champions 1998-2007,2009, All Ireland Minor Mens Champions 1997,2006-2007, U16 Mixed Feile Champions 2005, U13 Boys Feile Champions 2004 and 2009, All Ireland Senior Mixed Champions 2003 and 2005. National League Winners 2002, Minor Mixed All Ireland Champions 2001, Gary Kelly Cup (Senior Ladies) Winners 1998 - 2000, U14 Mixed Feile Champions 1998, along with numerous silver and bronze medals at The Community Games National Finals.
The club is based in south Co. Cavan, Ireland and is presently made up of players from Mullahoran, Gowna and Ballymachugh.
Rounders is a G.A.A. sport and quite like Fast Pitch Softball.
The club has been up and running since 1984/5.

Senior Men win All-Ireland
Erne Eagles 24 St. Clares 15 The Senior Men's team won back their All-Ireland title in Ballyboden St. Enda's club grounds on Sunday the 30th August. A great professional performance ensured that although the game was close for half the time we eased away in the last couple of innings. Team: Sean Hughes(2b), Jim Reilly(p&3b), Damien Mc Ardle(c), Gerard Clerkin(ss), Sean Og Brady(co), David Reilly(lo), James Anderson(3b&p), Gary Reilly(1b), Darryl Dolan(ro).

U15 Boys win Silver at Community Games
Congratulations to our Boys U15's Rounders Team who won silver at the National Community Games Finals held in Athlone last weekend, (21st - 23rd August).

Senior Rounders Semi-Finals
Senior Mens and Womens semi-finals are to take place in Edgewothstown GAA pitch on Sunday, 9th August. Senior Ladies: Bagenalstown v Castlebar 12 noon St. Claires v Limekiln 4pm Senior Men: Erne Eagles v Limekiln 2pm The Heath v St. Claires 6pm Teams to be there half hour before game start time.

Weekly update on all things Rounders and related.
Erne Eagles Rounders Club participted in The Cavan World Record Relay attempt at Breffni Park on Sat. We broke The World Record! Bigs thanks to Magaret Brady who organised things on our behalf. Also to Amanda Reilly, Lisa Reilly, Niamh Brennan, Maggie Brady, Aine Brady, Rosaleen Reilly, Dympna Reilly and Sean Hughes who all competed and represented the club.
Also to St. Claires Rounders Club who also supported the event.

Rounders Feile
The annual Rounders Feile will take place on the weekend of the 30/31/1 May/June, in Clara, Co. Offaly. U13's on Sat, u15's on Sun and u14mixed and u16 mixed on Mon. Bus leaving from Killadoon Hall at 12 o clock, Sat. Bus leaving from Hall at 10 o clock, Sun and Mon. Price is €15 per day (incl. bus and competiton entry) . Would advise players to bring a packed lunch.

Community Games Results
The Cavan Community Games Rounders Finals were held in a sodden Ballyhaise yesterday, Sunday 17th May. Congratulations to the Erne Valley U15 Boys were beat Ballyhaise 11-7 in a closely contested final. Hard luck to the U13 Boys, U15 Girls and U13 (A&B) Girls teams who were beaten in their respective finals by Ballyhaise.

Senior Rounders training at the training pitch this Saturday 2-3 (9/05/09) for anyone who wants to cram for La na gClub!!

La na gClub, Sun 10/05/09: Calling on Big Show from the Eagles!
La na gClub kicks off at 1pm this Sunday at Mullahoran G.F.C Pitch.
All five GAA sports will be on show and the Eagles are calling out for a turn-out big of junior and senior Rounders players to play their part!
Rounders exhibition games with junior and senior players will be taking place between 2-3. So we ask all players to be at the Park between 1-1.30 please. And a reminder that all past Rounders players are very welcome, so spread the word!!
Along with exhibition games, our excellent Club coaches will be conducting coaching Rounders clinics throughout the day.
There will be Rounders DVDs on show, so take a look (if you dare!) to see who Peadar has caught in the act through the years! And if you fail to make the silver screen, you may have made the wall of fame! Photos of all the parish's teams will adorn the walls and the Rounders pics are definitely worth checking out!
All five GAA codes will strut their stuff and coaching clinics will run throughout the day. With the GAA parish museum indoors, B-B-Qs and the possibility of outdoor Scor this day's craic is not to be missed!
Finally, a big shout out to our own Aishling Smith and those who co-ordinated Sunday's events- we wish them the best of luck and most importantly- sunshine!

Gary Kelly Cup Postponed
The Gary Kelly Cup due to take place on Sun 3rd May in Lissan in Derry was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. No news on the new play date, but we'll keep you posted!
