Minor League Division
The Minor League Division (9-11 year olds) is a semi-competitive league with teams formed based on tryouts and a draft. All players are required to tryout in order to assess ability prior to the draft. Players pitch to each other and score is kept. A continuous batting order is used along with four outfielders so that more players can participate in the game. No player shall sit out more than two innings. Pitch count ruels are strictly followed. A post-season playoff is held, in which all teams participate, to determine a season champion. Major League Division The Major League Division (10-12 years old) is also referred to as "Little League" is a competitive league in which standings are maintained. Teams are selected via a draft. Players may focus on specific positions and learn more advanced skills. Pitch count rules are strictly enforced. Farm (Coach Pitch) Division The Farm Division (6-8 year olds)is an instructional league with slightly more attention to competition and team play. Players receive instruction in batting, fielding, game rules, safety and good sportsmanship. Teams are formed randomly. A soft core baseball is used and coaches pitch to the players. All players bat and field. Junior League Division The Junior League Division is an extension of ERCLL to accomodate players league ages 13 and 14. Senior League Division The Senior League Division is an extension of ERCLL to accomodate players league ages 14, 15 and 16. T- Balll The T-Ball Division (5-6 years old) is an instructional, non-competitive co-ed league. Coaches concentrate on teaching basic baseball rules and skills. Teams are formed randomly. All players bat and play in the field. No one sits the bench. A batting tee is used at the beginning of the seson and coaches transition players to hitting soft pitch. A new T-Ball field has been built at Eastside for games, perfect size for 5-6 year old arms and legs. |
