Welcome to the Evergreen Park Explosion 14U Team site. Evergreen Park Explosion is a traveling fastpitch softball team for girls who have committed themselves to playing softball for High School and possibly College. The team provides an opportunity for girls to play competitive softball in the Chicago land area and in out-of-town tournaments. Sports are a great way to teach the girls sportsmanship, how to work together, and how to reach for their dreams. Our players have dedicated themselves to playing softball at an advanced level.

Our goal for the season is not only to win, but also, to give the girls the opportunity to play at an advanced level. Our coaching philosophy is to teach the girls strong fundamentals of the game, good sportsmanship, and how to have fun. We will also work on developing the girls softball skills, game knowledge, strong work ethic and postive attitudes. We will not yell and scream at them. We may take some time to explain to a girl what she did wrong or tell her what she needs to practice. This does not mean we are criticizing her. We are trying to help her excel at a game she loves. We know that all of you can play this game very well. We will also tell you when you have done well. All of the coaches share this same philosophy.
We look forward to a another great season.

Congratulations on winning the Championship in Park Ridge!!!
Congratulations on 2nd place in the Germantown tournament.
I want to thank each and everyone of the players and parents for playing with the Explosion team. Each player did a great job this year. We had a great time this season and concluded it with 2nd place and a Championship. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
I also want to thank the rest of the coaches for their time and commitment. You all did a great job and the girls and I appreciate all that you did this season.
