Elgin
Elgin - Rideau District High School
Elgin is a little community located about 30 km south of Smiths Falls on Hwy 15. Travel to Smiths Falls via of Hwy 43 (Kemptville) or via Hwy 15 from Carleton Place. Once in Smiths Falls, pick up Hwy 15 south leaving the town. You will travel past Cdn Tire, Dairy Queen, a soon to be Wal-Mart and many car lots. Highway 15 is pretty much the only way south out of Smiths Falls. Look for signs that point towards Kingston. Once you are on Highway 15 south leaving Smiths Falls, you will travel through little communities like Lombardy, Portland, and Crosby (none of these are greater than 200 in population). Stay the course until you come upon Elgin (4 km after Crosby). Take the second exit into Elgin (turning left) - should be either Main Street or Cty Rd 5. Either way, you will go past the local pizzeria, up a little hill, past the village’s grocery store, past a church and just as you think you are leaving the community, Rideau District High School is on the right (about 2 kms off Hwy 15).
From Hwy 401 at Kingston and Hwy 15 travel north on Hwy 15 until Elgin (35 kms). Take the second exit into Elgin (turning right) - should be either Main Street or Cty Rd 5. Either way, you will go past the local pizzeria, up a little hill, past the village’s grocery store, past a church and just as you think you are leaving the community, Rideau District High School is on the right (about 2 kms off Hwy 15).
As well, teams can travel south to Hwy 401 and Hwy 416 and go west on Hwy 401 to Brockville. After taking Brockville’s second exit, turn right coming off the 401 onto County Rd 29. Travel along County Rd 29 heading North out of Brockville towards Athens. After approximately 15 kms out of Brockville you will turn left onto County Rd 42 and head west towards Athens. Continue on Cty Rd 42 going through Athens, through Delta, and through Philipsville(a total of approx. 35 kms.) Just after leaving the hamlet of Philipsville, turn left onto Cty Rd 8 into Elgin. Rideau District High School is on your left just as you are entering the community (the only road in from the Brockville direction!).

Carleton Place and into Perth. At the first set of lights turn left. This is
Drummond St. You will take it all the way to the end (passing the hospital
and going through numerous four way stops) At the end of Drummond, turn
right. This takes you to a set of lights. Go straight through at the lights
(this is #10) and the school is on your right about 1 km past the lights.

- Note that the name of Regional Road 6 changes from "Roger Stevens Drive" (at the 416), to "Snake Island Road" (after you cross the Rideau River) to "Victoria St." (after you cross Hwy 31 and through Metcalfe) to "Craig St." after you cross Boundary Rd/Gregoire Rd.
- Be reminded that Regional Road 6 veers left when it changes from Roger Stevens Drive to Snake Island Rd. - Don't miss this veer to the left or you will end up in Osgoode! (~30 minutes).
- Turn right (south) on Concession St. (changes into South Russell Rd) and continue through the 1st stop sign, over the river, through the second stop sign
- Watch on your left for St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School (~2 minutes).
From Cornwall
- Take Hwy 138 north to Hwy 417.
- Head west on the 417 and exit at Rockdale Rd.
- Head south towards Embrum and continue to the 1st stop sign (at the Ford dealership).
- Turn right (west) and continue again to your 1st stop sign.
- Turn left (south) onto Concession St. (this will change into South Russell Rd.), go over the river, continue through the next stop sign
- Watch on your left for St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School. ~1 hr.

- Exit the 417/Queensway in Kanata at the Eagleson/March Road exit. West Carleton High Schoolis about 15 - 20 minutes from here.
- Head north on March Road
- March road will make a 90° curve several kilometers out of Kanata.
- Just after the bend, turn right onto Dunrobin Rd.
- Follow Dunrobin Rd through the flashing lights at the village of Dunrobin.
