Englewood Little League: 2009 Fall Little League Season Divisions

Rookies
The Rookie or the instructional league division for 8 year olds starts in Early April and ends in Mid June and meets on one to two week nights per week and most Sundays. This division is intended for players who want to take the fundamentals they were taught in tee ball to the next level. Although organized games are played weekly the emphasis is still on expanding each players individual baseball skills. All games and practices are held in Tryon Park off Tryon Avenue across from The Dismus School.

Tee ball
The Tee ball division is for kids ages 6-7. Tee ball season starts in the beginning of April through end of June and meets two evenings a week (either Mondays & Wednesdays or Tuesdays & Thursdays depending on the team assignments) from 6pm-7pm at Madison Park on Madison Avenue between Broad and Grand Avenues. Tee ball teaches baseball fundamentals and does not require any previous baseball playing experience.

Minors
The Minor division for kids ages 9 and 10 will meet 1-2 nights per week and most Sundays. A competitive schedule is played from mid April thru the end of June. The season is followed by playoffs until a champion is crowned. Games are played in MacKay park and at Durie field off Durie Avenue behind Englewood Hospital.

Majors
The Major division for kids ages 11 and 12 will meet 1-2 nights per week and most Sundays. A competitive schedule is played from mid April thru late June. The season is followed by playoffs until a champion is crowned. Games are played either at historic Garrity Field off Broad Avenue or the newly redone Wilkens field in Mackay Park.
