Saturday, February 24 Coaches Clinic Information: March 24 Coaches Clinic -Schedule 8:00 - 9:30 Coaches School. From the experienced coach to the first time coach this session will provide great tips and techniques in teaching young players the game of baseball. This will include what skills should be learned at each level in order to allow the players to build on their skills each season. The session will also include practice tips, proper teaching techniques and game situations. 9:30 - 2:30 Coaches will join the players during this time to get hands on in using some of the coaching skills emphasized during the morning session. Coaches will be able to observe the Max Sports instructors in teaching proven and correct fielding, hitting and pitching skills. 2:30 - 4:00 Scrimmage Game. Players and Coaches will be divided into age appriopriate groups and will particpate in a fun scrimmage game! They will use all the skills emphasized during the day with a major focus on FUN! Saturday, February 24 Players Skills School! - March 24 8:30 - 4:00 Players Skills School March 24 All EMCRA Players are invited to attend the 2007 Players Skills School on March 24. The school will be held at the Central fields from 8:30 until 4:00. Schedule 8:30 - 9:30 Stretching, Warmups and Introductions 9:30 - 2:30 During this time the Max Sports instructors will cover proper techniques in fielding, throwing, hitting and pitching. Each session will be filled with basic to advanced tips along with drills the players will participate in to hone their skills. Parents are invited to observe and even participate in some sessions. Instructors will insure the proper techniques are understood, but they will also emphasize the FUN of playing the game. Some sessions will also have competitive challenges with awards provided by sponsors! 2:30 - 4:00 Scrimmage Game! Players will be divided into age appropriate groups and will play a scrimmage game! Note: We will break for lunch at different intervals during the 9:30 - 2:30 session. Players can either bring a lunch or purchase a lunch at the park. COST FOR PLAYER SKILL TRAINING: $5 |
