Board Positions

Board Positions Openings

We are in the process of trying to fill several positions that are currently available within our organization.  Several members are ready to step down, now that their child/children are playing at the high school level or are participating in other sports.

Please help keep the organization progressing forward and take the time to volunteer as a member.  The requirements:  attend monthly meetings, goal oriented, focused on bettering the organization as a whole and keeping the kids best interest in mind.

Board members are compensated with lots of "SMILES & LAUGHTER" from the players and the occassional parent.  But it is truly an enjoyable experience overall.  So whatcha waiting for, come and enjoy yourself while protecting the future of our youth organization.

Positions Available:  1st & 2nd Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Commissioner, Means & Ways (fundraising), Secretary is pending   **Looking to have filled ASAP or by March 31st**

*President is currently filled, but will become available once the other positions are elected.

Potters Soccer

Our organization has proudly partnered with the East Liverpool High School Boys & Girls Soccer Teams. The high school teams will be utilizing our facility as their practice location for the upcoming 2012 soccer season. League President, Bridget Williams, is very excited about the joint venture that has come to surface. Our organization is looking forward to this season and we are hoping to continue the line of progression for many years to come.

Soccer Camp

Joe Raduka will be working with our organization this summer to hold a week long camp for the Tri-State area. The camp is open to any and all players, any skill level from the ages of 6yrs - 18yrs of age. If you have a high school team/group & would like group training, we can make it happen. Do you want to work on a certain area w/your group: tactical, shooting, goal keeping.....whatever your needs are, Cleveland United can help.

We MUST have 25 participants to make the camp a success. So please share the word w/friends & family.

The cost of camp is $90.00 & current 2012 Spring ELYSL members will receive a $10.00 discount. Your fee includes a camp T-shirt & a report card from Joe & his staff.

Camp Dates: JULY 23rd - 27th, 6PM - 8:00PM

Joe is the founder of Cleveland United and his ability to teach young athletes is remarkable. All trainees will work on footskills, ball control, tactical/technical outlook, finishing & shooting aspects of the game.

If interested please contact Bridget @ 304-670-2108 ** Forms in HANDOUT section **

We will be training several new kids this season, so please be patient w/them during games. Yes, a bad call may occur, but they're only kids, so give them a break. Remember that this could be your child someday & I'm sure you wouldn't want someone yelling at them...... New this year is the "WHITE CARD". This card will be issued to coaches, players, & spectators that are out of line w/comments regarding games. The referee can use this card at their discretion & the decision is FINAL. If you are given this fine award, you MUST referee the next 2 games. If you refuse to do so, you will be asked to leave the facility indefinitely or until you come to your senses & participate. I'm certain the experience will help you appreciate these kids much more.
