ELROSA--The Elrosa Saints dropped two SCL North games this weekend with losses to New Munich and Meire Grove. Friday night the Saints lost to division leading New Munich 5-1 before a large crowd in Elrosa. Pat Ilies ripped a double in the loss as Aaron Vogt took the hard luck loss on the mound. Derek "Cheech" Weller sparked one up when he smoked an RBI single to center for the Saints only run. Sunday, the Saints traveled to Meire Grove and dropped a 4-1 heartbreaker to the Grovers. Zach Weller took the loss on the mound as Steve Mueller and Ethan Vogt each had two hits apiece in the loss. Thursday night the Saints will wrap up their regular season play when they play host to the Greenwald Cubs at 8:15 p.m. at Saints Field. The Saints are on a 5 game losing streak and will look to claim the #3 seed in the SCL North playoffs with a win and a Meire Grove loss.
