ANDY COLLECTED 3 HITS @ FARMING!
FARMING--The Elrosa Saints picked up their 3rd win of the summer Sunday afternoon with a 4-2 victory over the Farming Flames. Andy Mages led all hitters with three hits for the Saints including an RBI double. Dustin Breitbach also provided two clutch base hits for the Saints and drove in 2 runs. Zach Weller provided 7 innings of work on the mound for Elrosa. Weller gave up only 1 run to the Flames as the young right hander picked up his first career Stearns County League win. Matt Middendorf picked up the save in releif of Weller. The Saints didn't committ an error in the victory but also didn't get their bus started after the game. Thanks to some quick thinking, the Saints were able to find alternative transportation to St. Martin and were able to get back to Elrosa in time for Monkey Days! The Saints will travel to Lake Henry on Sunday afternoon to continue SCL play. The Lakers ended the Saints season last year at the Region tourney after beating the Saints twice.....As our own Dome Dog Wander says, "Would've been gone in Lake Henry!"
