Saints Earn #1 Seed For Region Tourney

The Elrosa Saints will face Lake Henry at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Lake Henry in the first round of the double elimination Region 15C Tournament. The Saints earned the #1 seed with a 7-2 victory over Spring Hill on Sunday. Jon Olmscheid was officially crowned when he hit a go-ahead grand slam in the 7th inning to help propel the orange and navy to the victory. Aaron Vogt picked up another win on the mound for the Saints as he picked up his second victory in less then a week. Steve Mueller and Ethan Vogt each had two hits and Pat Illies slugged a solo home run to help aid the offensive attack. The defense turned four double plays to back up Vogt on the mound and the Saints finally returned "The Traveling Trophy Keg" back to Elrosa. The Saints drafted Joe Stangler and Chad Funk of New Munich to bolster their line up for the Region tourney.
