UNCLE JESSE SMASHES THREE HITS IN THE VICTORY!
ST. MARTIN--Elrosa got back in the win column Saturday afternoon with an impressive 6-3 victory over St. Martin. Aaron Vogt picked up the win on the mound for the Saints as he pitched a solid 7 2/3 innings of work before giving way to Matt Middendorf who picked up the save. Matt "Uncle Jesse" Bauer batted 3-for-5 at the plate to pace the Saints offensively. The Saints played good defensive baseball and continually put the ball in play as they put pressure on the Martin defense with a number of perfectly executed bunts and hit and runs. The win combined with Meire Grove's loss to Farming puts the Saints back in the driver's seat in the SCL North. Elrosa finishes up the Memorial Day weekend double header with a game against Farming Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in Elrosa.
