Elrosa Saints thrash Greenwald 9-2
By Randy Olson The Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team ended a three-game losing slide on Friday night when they defeated Greenwald 9-2 in a Stearns County League-North division matchup. The must-win situation was crucial as they fight to avoid the play-in round for the upcoming Division playoffs later this month. The Saints are currently in a third-place tie in the SCL-North with Meire Grove. This Sunday the Saints wrap up the regular season with another SCL-North showdown, this time at Spring Hill in a 1:30pm game. It will be a revision of the “Battle for the Keg” between the two neighboring rivals. Full updates, scheduling notes, and video clips on the Elrosa Saints and the rest of the SCL can be found online at bbejaguars.blogspot.com.
