Elks Soccer Club
The Elks Soccer Club provides a recreational soccer program to instill developmental characteristics for the youth in Granite City and the surrounding areas. We believe if we can teach competitive fundamentals of the game, our youth will beneift from seeing both winners and losers, and that it takes hard-work and dedication to reach a desired goal. Through competition, our youth participants learn sportsmanship. Each player, parent, coach and volunteer all play a role in something bigger and greater than just the individual. The Elks Soccer Club also promotes respect for everyone regardless of conflict or disagreement.
The Elks Soccer Club has been serving the Granite City area for over 30 years by providing a recreational soccer organization for the youth of our community. We take great pride in knowing that we exist because of the volunteer work of so many local citizens. This effort starts with the parents and players and is made possible by all of the people who volunteer their time, including board members, coaches and support staff. The Elks organization takes great pride in remaining an affordable option for families in our community to continue the tradition of Granite City Soccer.

Teams: This Fall Season we are very excited to announce that we will have approximately 14 new teams added to our league!! Gateway Science Academy, a private school in MO, are very excited to be joining us! The kids are rec level players who have been playing in the Lindbergh rec league. (think St. Elizabeth or Holy Family schools having a team.) Due to time constraints, this season you will see these kids wearing their school soccer uniforms. Come Spring Season, they will be sporting our t-shirts with their school logo on the sleeve. This is a great opportunity for all of our teams to have additional teams to play against! Welcome aboard! New Fields: We will be adding 2 extra fields this season and they will be lighted! The field numbers will also be changing this year. A field map including numbers and parking zones (see Parking Zones) will be posted shortly.
Parking Zones: Once we have the field numbers set, we will once again be assigning parking zones for the fields. This will include parking in the Prather School lot beyond the South Side fields. PLEASE park in the zones based on what field you're visiting whenever possible. -NOTE: There is NO PARKING on the drive-thru lane that goes from the concession stand to the South Parking Lot.
Volunteers: We are in search of volunteers to help with the concession stand, as well as people to walk the fields ensuring the games are going smoothly, people are not parked in No Parking Zones, there are no pets or smoking on the fields, etc. If you can spare 8 hrs on a Saturday, or just a couple hours here and there, we would LOVE to have your help! - We are ALWAYS accepting help with field maintenance!! We cut grass & line fields every Thursday and most Mondays as well. Please let us know if you would be willing to help out, even occasionally! - We are also looking for seasonal referees. Training will be provided. These are paid positions. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Complex Improvements: We have been hard at work this summer trying to make improvements to the complex. We have removed the old walking bridge and replaced it with new ties! We also intend to add shade trees for fans, as well as cutting down the tree next to the walking bridge. We are always looking to improve the complex for the players and spectators. If you have an area of expertise that you would like to utilize to help us with any updates, please feel free to reach out to us! Email email@example.com for further information on any of the announcements. Elks Youth Athletics Board
