Elkhorn Express Fastpitch Softball: Welcome

ATTENTION 16U PROSPECTIVE PLAYERS

If you missed tryouts and are eligible to play on a 16U team - this message is for you!  The 16U team is considering adding additional girls to the roster and we are specifically looking for PITCHERS!  Contact Coach Lee Shawback at 224-489-8908 or lshawback@hansenplastics.com to set up your tryout date and time. 

Prospects will be evaluated on knowledge of the game, speed, agility, arm strength, arm velocity, arm accuracy, fielding mechanics, batting contact, batting mechanics, bat exit speed and personal traits.  Players are expected to attend practice multiple times per week and attend games/tournaments.  There is a high level of commitment necessary to succeed and participate.  We play A LOT of softball and if you LOVE softball, we may be a perfect fit for each other!

Player fees for the 2014-15 season are $250 per player with a family discount for multiple players.    

PARENT MEETING!!! For those of you who will have a player on a 2014/15 Elkhorn Express Team: We are having the parent meeting at Elkhorn Area High School on Sunday August 24th at 4:00.

12U, 14U and 16U teams participate in a competitive travel league.  10U teams will either join a competitive travel league or participate in the local park and rec league.  14U and 16U teams are considered more competitive in nature.  At least half of the season’s tournaments for the 14U and 16U teams shall be Class A, Class B, qualifier and at least one mandatory college exposure tournament for 14U and two mandatory college exposure tournaments for 16U.

 

14U and 16U teams will play at least 50 games per season including at least two fall tournaments. 12U teams  will play at least 40 games per season including at least one fall tournament.  10U teams will play at least 30 games per season  Tryouts are every August and we practice and play year round!
