Elite Summer Basketball League: Welcome
2013 Elite Summer Basketball League - $65 dollar registration
Please find enclosed detailed information on the upcoming 3rd annual Western PA YouthBasketball Summer league starting in June. The league will consist of 2 divisions basedon grade level (3rd – 5th) and (6th – 8th). Grade level is based on “current” grade level.If your child is currently in the 5th grade he will be allowed to play in the 3rd - 5th gradeleague. If your child is currently in the 8th grade he will be allowed to play in the 6th – 8thgrade league.
We are inviting children from the following communities to join the league; Canon Mac,Chartiers Houston, McGuffey, Peters, Avella, Waynesburg, Washington, Trinity, FortCherry, Upper St Clair, Bethel Park, Mt Lebanon, Ringgold, Baldwin, South Park,Chartiers Valley and many other surrounding communities. Teams will be divided evenlyand each team will play 7 regular season games including a tournament at the end of theregular season. There will be 1 game during the week and 1 game on the weekend. Allgames will be played at Canon Mac facilities which include Cecil Township IntermediateSchool, Cecil Park and Canon McMillan High School. Coaches will be required to playall kids an equal amount of playing time. The goal of the league is help the kids learn thegame, improve their skills, and have fun. Due to the overwhelming interest in the leaguewe will only be accepting registrations from the first 100 kids in each division.
Important dates:
2/19/13 – Mail registration period begins
5/6/13 – Live registration at Canon McMillan High School Gym 6pm to 8pm
5/7/13 – Live registration at Canon McMillan High School Gym 6pm to 8pm
5/13/13 – Player evaluations at Canon McMillan High School Gym 7pm to 8pm
5/27/13 – Teams and schedules announced
6/1/13 – Practice begins – (Each team will have 2 practices before the season start)
6/8/13 – Games begin (No practicing during the season – Only games)
7/20/13 – League Tournament – Final day of Summer League
