Elite Runners: Welcome

 The Elite Runners Track & Field Club is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) youth organization serving members from several communities in the Central Middlesex and Union County areas. Male and female athletes in ages ranging from 6 - 18 and regardless of athletic ability or prior experience are invited to attend and participate in a year round program consisting of 3 seasons: Cross Country, Winter Track, and Spring/Summer Track.  The track club's purpose is to represent the efforts of concerned professionals & nonprofessionals who believe that incorporating athletic ability into friendly organized competition results in the effective development of youth in assuming productive and responsible roles within their homes, schools, and communities. 

Congratulations goes out to Charlie Bakos and Nathan Walkes for the selection as USATF Athletes of the Year for their 2009 accomplishments.  Charlie receives his honor for the  Sub Bantam Distance category while Nathan receives his as the Young Men Cross Country Representative.  Both will be honored at the USATF "Ball" to be held at the Pines Manor in January.  Great Job !!

Congratulations to our "ELITE" members who medaled at the AAU Cross Country Nationals, held in Orlando on December 5th, against some of the toughest competitors from around the country.  Included in the Medal Winners category are:

Charles Bakos        Primary            6th Place

Joseph Gibardi     Primary           13th Place

Steven Payne         Sub Bantam       6th Place

Brittany Gasser      Midget            24th Place

 Also competing were athletes Emily Shibata (Midget) who received a National Ribbon and Jon Boros who competed in a tough Youth division.

Special thanks goes out to Head Coach Diniz Cordeiro and Coach Kim Shibata for leading the Cross Country team to its best season yet !!  Great job!!
