ELGIN NATIONAL LITTLE LEAGUE: Summer 2011 Divisions

T-Ball Ages 4-6
The T-Ball division is for first time players boys and girls who are league age 4, 5 or 6. Baseball League age is the players age as of April 30th of the playing year. Softball League age is the players age as of 12/31 of the previous year. Players hit off of a T and everyone bats and plays the field. Outs and runs are not counted at this level. The focus is on learning basic playing skills and baseball terminology.

Instructional Baseball Ages 5-7
The Instructional level is designed for children who have had at least 1 year of t-ball or who are league age 7 and have never played. Coaches pitch to the children and outs are counted at this level.

Instructional Softball Minor B Ages 6 - 8
This division starts as coach pitch and works up to player pitch for girls softball.

Minor West Baseball Ages 7 - 8

Minor Softball A - Ages 9 - 10

Minor East Baseball Ages 9 - 11

Major Softball Ages 10 - 12

Major Baseball 50/70 Ages 11 - 12
This division is played on a larger field with a pitching distance of 50' and base paths of 70'. Local travel is involved.

Junior Baseball Ages 13 - 14

Junior Softball Ages 13 - 14

Senior Baseball Ages 15 - 16

Senior Softball Ages 14 - 16

Big League Softball Ages 17 - 18
