Elgin Classic Little League: Spring 2013 Divisions
AA Instuctional Division is for players ages 7-8.
AA Division is to teach and develop fundamental baseball skills. Practices and games will stress instruction over competition and develop an increase of throwing, fielding, base running, sliding, defensive positioning and hitting skills. Players will pitch at this level.
Tee Ball Baseball
Tee Ball Division is for players boys & girls age 4-6.
Tee Ball introduces the player to the game of baseball. The fundamentals of throwing, catching and hitting are emphasized. The player is also introduced to the basic rules of the game.
AAA Minor Baseball
Minor Baseball Division is for players age 9-11.
As expected, a slightly higher level of instruction detail occurs at this level. Primary emphasis is placed on developing pitching skills and on hitting live pitching. Defensive skills, both in the infield and outfield, continue to be developed in the Minor Division.
Intermediate 50/70 Baseball
Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division is for players age 11-13.
50/70 Baseball League Division is to experience a significant increase in competition and intensity. While competitive, the 50/70 Baseball Division is still designed to develop sportsmanship and good character. Winning is important, but not at any expense. Managers are encouraged to be competitive within the rules and guidelines of Little League Baseball.
Junior Baseball
Junior Baseball Division is for children age 13-14.
Junior League Division is a competitive league and playing time is assigned based on knowledge, skill and desire to play. Games are played against other local little leagues so travel is required.
Senior Baseball
Senior Baseball Division is for players age 15-16.
Senior League Division is a competitive league and playing time is assigned based on knowledge, skill and desire to play. Games are played against other local leagues so travel is required.
Big League Baseball
Big League Baseball Division is for players age 17-18.
Big League Division is a competitive league and playing time is assigned based on knowledge, skill and desire to play. Games are played against other local leagues so travel is required.
Minor B Softball
Minor B Softball Division is for girls ages 6-8.
Minor Softball Division introduces players to kid's pitching. Softball knowledge of the game and the finer skills will be stressed in a less competitive environment. Minimum playing time is established. Games are played against other local leagues so travel is required
Minor A Softball
Minor Softball Division is for girls ages 9-11..
Minor Softball Division introduces players to kid's pitching. Softball knowledge of the game and the finer skills will be stressed in a less competitive environment. Minimum playing time is established. Games are played against other local leagues so travel is required.
Major Softball
Major Softball Division is for girls age 10-12.
Major Softball Division players are judged to be prepared to play at this level. This is a competitive league and playing time is assigned based on knowledge, skill and desire to play. Games are played against other local leagues so travel is required.
Junior Softball
Junior Softball Division is for girls age 13-14.
Junior Softball Division is a competitive league and playing time is assigned based on knowledge, skill and desire to play. Games are played against other local leagues so travel is required.
Senior Softball
