The Electric City Bombers is a girls fast pitch softball organization that currently consisting of 1-10U, 2-12U, 1-14U, and 1-16U team.
Our players are from the All over the Capital Region.  Each year the Electric City Bombers work through the fall and winter to be prepared to attend weekend tournaments throughout the North East playing at the highest level of competition available.

The mission of the Electric City Bombers is to develop the following skills in each of our players:

SOFTBALL SKILLS

• 
  
  Teach advanced fundamental skills of fast pitch softball, i.e., fielding, catching, throwing, batting, baserunning, position play, and rules of the game.


• 
  
  Stress the importance of mastering those fundamental skills in order to advance to the next level of competition.


• 
  
  Provide an opportunity to compete at the highest level available.


• 
  
  Prepare our players to compete at the High School and Collegiate levels of play.

PERSONAL SKILLS

• Develop the players' athletic ability to their full potential by promoting physical fitness and always striving for perfection.\


• Require that our players always give 100% at all practices and games.


• Teach our players to listen and follow directions.


• Instill responsibility in our players by having rules and consequenses for violating those rules.


• Develop a work ethic in our players by requiring them to raise funds in order to play in tournaments.


• Teach our players that they must set their goals high and work hard to achieve them.


• Develop self-discipline and leadership qualities in our players.


• Help our players to develop confidence and pride, and to increase their self-esteem.


• Provide our players with a clean, wholesome, family environment.


• Demand that our players always exhibit a positive attitude.

SOCIAL SKILL

• Teach our players to respect their teammates, as well as to have self-respect.

  Develop high morals and good sportsmanship and teach fair play.

  Instill in our players the importance of teamwork, taking personal responsibility for their actions, and honoring their commitments to their teammates.

  Teach our players to have pride in our team. players to have respect for everyone especially your opponent.

TEAM GOALS
To win games and tournaments. After all, we are a competitive travel ball team. This should be a fun experience for the players and families. And, losing is not fun.
The Electric City Bombers play each softball game and tournaments with the full intention of winning them. We are a travel team and not bound by any rules that dictate equal playing time or scheduled substitutions. Traveling fast pitch softball is highly competitive and equal playing time is not guaranteed for the players.
However, the coaches will make every effort to play all of the players in every tournament. The coaches will continue to analyze the development of each player to determine positions and playing time. Every player for the Electric City Bombers has equal access to all the opportunities that the team provides for our players. What they do with those opportunities is totally left up to each player. We hope all of our players will work hard and make the most of these opportunities. However, playing time and positions are not rights that are given to our players, they are priveleges that are EARNED by our players. Players for the Electric City Bombers EARN their positions and playing time based on their ability, attitude, attendance, and hustle. This is part of the character building process. We expect our players to have a good attitude, work hard, and always give 100% in order to earn and maintain their playing time and positions.
Our coaching philosophy and methods go well beyond teaching the basic fundamentals of fast pitch softball. We teach our players to learn the game of fast pitch softball. We want our players to know the game to the point that they can react instinctively to any game situation that may arise. We also teach our players the strategy of fast pitch softball. We feel that is very important that they fully understand everything that takes place on the softball field. We want all of our players to be able to play heads-up softball. One of our goals is to totally eliminate mental errors in tournament play.

Another part of our coaching philosophy is stressing the importance of teamwork. Our players must learn to play as a team. An important part of this is learning to trust and depend on your teammates. It is also very important that every player accepts what role they play on the team, regardless of whether they are a starter, substitute, infielder or outfielder. Many times a substitute can come off the bench as a pinch hitter or pinch runner and win the game for the team.
Every player on the team and the roles they play on the team are important.
We win as a team and when we do lose, we lose as a team.

Our long-term goal is to expand our organization to include several teams beginning at 10/Under through 18/Under. Achieving this goal will afford many girls with the opportunity to play competitive softball for the Electric City Bombers for years to come.  We want our player's and family's involvement with the Electric City Bombers to be a very positive experience for them. We strive to instill in our players life lessons that will serve them well for as long as they live. We want to be a positive factor in their character building process.
