AAU Cards for Open Gym and Clearance Info
Clearance packets can be picked up in the school office or can be printed off the El Cap website. Plan ahead and schedule your Doctor's appointment now for your physical. You MUST be cleared through the finance office to be able to tryout for a team in August. Your clearance card is the completed info card with a receipt from the finance office stapled to it.
Summer League :
We begin on June 3rd, which is a Monday. Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 PM at the Boys and Girls Club in Santee. We also have tournaments on Friday afternoon/evenings. These are at Monte Vista, usually and have start times of 3:30, 5:30 or 7:30 and we play two matches each time. I have information on camps and other ways to keep playing volleyball during this time, if you are interested.
No Contact Period: July 22 - August 4
Once we officially resume on August 12th, everyone will begin a commitment of five days a week for practices and games through the end of the season with a couple tournaments on weekends.
Tryouts/summer practice schedule is as follows:
GET YOUR AAU CARD
Everyone MUST have AAU Insurance to participate in the summer work-outs or camps. This provides coverage while the players are not officially students. It is liability insurance to cover the school. Register on-line and pay a fee of $16. After August 12th, AAU is no longer needed, just clearance.
Here is what you do:
Click Athlete Membership.
Fill in the information: Youth Program, Membership expires August 31st 2013 extended coverage $16, Volleyball, Club Code = XXT76T
Pay with a credit card and Submit
Print out the last page (it has a memberhsip card on it), sign, and bring it to Coach Mary on the first day you come to work out. If you do not turn it in YOU WILL NOT be permitted to participate in the work outs until you complete it.
